The system itself is inherently insane.

Those words were spoken by former stockbroker Max Keiser during his latest "Keiser Report" on Russia Today.

Here is the description for the YouTube video:

RussiaToday — June 17, 2010 — On this edition of the Keiser Report, Max and co-host Stacy Herbert look at the latest scandals of filling black holes of debt with austerity plans and imperial plans. In the second half of the show, Max talks to Cedric de Serigny of the School of Economic Warfare in Paris about rating agencies and financial terrorism.

Duh, because the system was set up by man . . .

What he, and most everyone else, is too damned chicken to admit is that man is flawed, and our imperfection is coming to roost.

We have no one to blame but ourselves.

back in the post WWII era, the business men & execuitives were not so much individually focused on cutting every corner and upturning every moral & ethical stand...
because they understood that the regulating agencies would haul them in for tax or other legal issues...

besides shady business dealings were frowned upon , and the consumer public were generally wholesome, straight-laced, honorable character people that 'worked' for a living, thought of building the American economy as a personal committment and a national duty.

today the table has turned 180°, and now its the rare individual that is of high character, unsleazy, not a money whore, sells-creates or brands products that are known to be defective in every sense of the term, and covets his neighbors income/house/lifestyle/privacy/possessions/intimate life...etc.
Today, the normal playing field is a casino environment, with liars, cut-throats, muggers behind every name-badge.
a veritable hellscape

The thread title is why psychiatry/psychology is a deeply flawed enterprise for the most part.

There are people that psychology can and does help, but its increasingly being used as a way for deliberately hobbling the mind to fit an increasingly unnatural and unsustainable way of life.
