Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: 'US conduct can elicit public revolt'

www.presstv.ir

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says if US politicians allowed the American nation free access to government conduct, US citizens would rise against their outrageous policies.

President Ahmadinejad, who is touring Iran's western province of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari with his cabinet and staff, criticized US policies on the global stage on Wednesday and warned officials in Washington about an imminent 'just' world order.

"If the US offered its citizens the right to freedom of information on world affairs, so that the American people could be fully informed of their leaders' support for Israeli atrocities as well as the crimes they have committed in Iraq and Afghanistan, the people would take effective measure against their statesmen," the Iranian president said.

He went on to emphasize that the US pursues an authoritarian foreign policy, noting that it only seeks to " squander" the entire world but is encounters Iran's opposition everywhere it goes.

This may just be more of Ahmadinejad's rhetoric but you do have to admit that it rings true, at least from some of our opinions. I have been saying this for a long time and apparently, so was Henry Ford.

"It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning." --Henry Ford

I think that Ahmadinejad is right on the money with this one. Our system is inherently corrupt and a lot of things are kept from us not because of "national security" but rather because these things are working against our interests. I do not believe that if most Americans knew half of the things that our government is up to, we would revolt in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, by the time most Americans figure this out, we will have handed the government most of our rights for the false perception of security and by then, it will be too little too late.

Gee.... ya think? LOL! He never says anything very profound and this one is a Mr Obvious moment for him... again.

Its this way with near EVERY nation even though he would love to make us appear to be the great satan alone. IMO its been this way since the civil war when the federal govt played power grab under the guise of abolishing slavery and set the stage for what we have now. People would puke ( especially yankees) if they really looked deeply into the why's and how's of the civil war.

So... once again, this goof is just talking to hear himself rattle. Never pass up a great crisis to manipulate people.... hmm, where have I heard that before.

He sums it up quite well.. But few will listen to what they consider the ramblings of a "madman".. The guy does make sense at times..

He always says the right things, I agree with almost everything he says. But he never does what he says, he is a hypocrite.

the US government itself released the proof
that the gulf of TONKIN NEVER HAPPENED

why DID all those people die?
so America could develop a smack habit?
then have a war on drugs?
then fund and develop a police state with all the dirty money?
rinse and repeat
rince and repeat

maybe the guy is being accurate
lord knows
the MSN sure hasn't been
about anything

I know Ahmadinejad is a memebr here. It's just too obvious by the things he says. I wonder what his nick is?

Sorry OP, not trying to disrupt or derail with what I originally posted here.

The Iranian President does always seem to say the right things, doesn't he? An almost uncanny ability to shoot straight, it's really weird.

Because he said it.... People will do the opposite.

He is right though which is odd. But i am sure people will associate this with that dan rathers documentary yesterday about the right wing nutters.

It looks like he saw that show, and he visits ATS.

I wonder what his user name is...

Well I don't know about anyone else...

But I'm a member of the public and I'm already pretty revolted at US conduct.

Why do I get the feeling he's either got a copy of, or is pretending to have a copy of, the diplomatic cables from wikileaks?

I bet that Iran's government has people to crawl ATS. Wouldn't this be an outstanding source for low-budget information gathering? Not only is it good for information, but also to gauge the sociopolitical climate of the western world, or at least a certain demographic of the western world. ATS even provides the statistics of visitors.

I would expect the disinfo agents and the Psi ops types
are all over places like this
manipulation and quality control
and just to get a good laff at the people who fall for it

I can think of some heavy anti info flak we have had to ride out lately.

He's the most on-point politician i've ever seen/heard. He says it how it is.

I personally think he's an inspiration for our politicians, when was the last time you heard anyone (apart from maybe Ron Paul and George Galloway) say anything that sounded like anywhere near the truth, or honest at least?

Go, flame away
