I think my understanding of ''Bubbas'' is quite a bit different to yours so this is a case of cultural mis-understanding, so sorry but you should take no offence. When you say ''Bubba'' I seemed to think of what we over here call ''chavs'', unsavoury people who you'd never want carrying a gun. If we armed our nation murders would escalate on a horrific level, one thing you can't deny about the U.S is that it's murder toll is through the roof, I don't want that in the U.K, you'd be hard pressed to find a British soul who'd want guns all over the streets. In Texas gun culture is second nature, you know no different so I understand why you think it would be no big deal for us to arm ourselves but to us the idea is repellent and you could only appreciate that if you had been brought up without guns around you, as we have.
