This is pretty interesting footage...I've taken a screen-shot of the UFO in the video and applied a few effects to highlight the detail:

Looks like the Sun reflecting off of an object on the far side of the canyon.

It doesn't move and it's elevation is pretty close to the top of the walls of the canyon.

Sun glinting off of a reflective object such as a window can be really bright for a short period of time. Once the angle of the Sun changes with the rotation of the Earth the reflection will disappear.

well,

I do think this is probably just a reflection off something on the opposite side now... (not soo full of myself to say 100% yes or no)
but I ask...
Why could light not be reflecting off an actual craft/object on the other side?

everyone says "reflection from something on the other side"
well yeah... the color and look of it does make us come to that conclusion~
but everyone only says.. "reflection off something"

So I just ask..
why could it not be reflection of something really in the air, on the opposite side? lol

Im really just messing around here,
but still honestly curious.

the blue-ish pic is cool lookin chaos!

and @Maybe...maybe not...
You still use windoze???

Thanks.

1. The Grand Canyon is in ARIZONA, NOT Colorado.

2. I initially thought it might be light off of one of the buildings on the North Rim.

3. Lastly, it looks like it's added to the video vs in the Canyon. Just my layman's impression.

There are a number of large buildings on the north rim of the Grand Canyon. I'm pretty certain this is just a reflection off some part of one of these. Maybe one has mirrored windows, like many modern buildings have, and it was just catching the sunlight at just the right angle to shine back at where this guy was with his camera.

Are you not the guy who is the astronomer does that NOT look like a reflection to you, the diamond shape will be due to how the aperture shape is made in the lens.

Look here and scroll down to fig 5

www.luminous-landscape.com...

The number of blades that make up the apeture of the lens can change the look of highlights and out of focus objects in pictures.

lol, Yes.
that's why I said above..
" believe it or not, Im very familiar with the diamond effect"
It just did not look typical to me.
Did you only read the first post or two, or what?
thanks.

It was a reply to your OP you have to remember with some threads if you read ALL the posts before you reply you never will
because you would spend to much time reading.

Also if you thought it was a reflection why not say in your op

You could have said this instead of what you did say.

Posted this claimed ufo video but I am certain its a reflection what do you think?

It's either morning or evening... sun is low in the sky and reflecting off a shiny object on the ground in the distance.
