ATS's BP Icon is Great - Let's do it for the rest of them

When you're scrolling through the posts and threads, it's easy to pick out those with the subject of the BP oil disaster. The icon is recognizable instantly because of its shape, size, and color.

The rest of the subjects are colored folders with tiny graphics on them, which makes it harder to tell what they're about, so I just end up reading them line by line.

Could we perhaps create new icons that are easy to pick out like the BP one?

Obvious example would be your stereotypical ufo for the ufo forum.

I think it would be a welcome change.

Personally, I find the Icon obnoxious. What's the saying on ATS, even bad press is press, or something like that?

I'd prefer to see a black ribbon, for the loss of sea life, loss of jobs, and loss of life this disaster has caused, and will cause for years to come.

Blatantly putting the BP logo, on ATS, makes me want to barffffffffffffff!

Take that from one who lives on the Gulf coast!

well fortunatatly for you, you can save your stomach the trouble, because that in fact is not the bp logo.

I agree with 30_seconds, I like the new BP icon, and I am for giving the sub-forum icons a little more life.

First of all, your link asked me if I wanted to open a file to veiw what you put up.

Even if it is not the exact logo, it's close enough for me to find offensive!

I agree, we should revampt the icons for the forums.

Although that's probably part of the 2010 Project anyway...
