Anyone else who is watching earthquakes think it is odd that Southern California has had over 100 quakes in the last 12 hours. I know that it is very active but from what I am seeing this seems a bit over active. Anyone else noticing anything odd. Times are in UTC. It just seems odd that it is about every 3-5 mins.

Yes I have! Thanks for asking!!

I have mention the same outlook..

Okay, just a little more insight, again take alook...
More events here compared from the past. Look and listen to the sinking of the gulf.

Pressure is just beginning to take place more so after 59 days,is why the recent shakes within the area, move again East towards GOM. More to come I'm certain, but further East.
I'm to a point if there is a slight change in that area, I'm again certain, there will be a shift within the floor of that Ocean bottem! Up or Down, left or right, not good!
Muddy Ugly one might say!
Must worst then it is now!

Just a thought!

I'm glad you made this topic, I would not have mentioned this otherwise. I JUST felt an earthquake, it shook up the house.

They are very, very rare to have here, I don't live on a fault line.

I just can't help but wonder if it's related to all this earthquake activity in California and what not.

Scared my dog lol

I just find it so odd. Yes there are quakes in that area every day. But not at this frequency. Part of me remembers learning that as along as there are little ones they release the pressure so there is not a big one. But I don't know about this maybe they are a warning that a big one is coming.

You are beginning to understand... this is not normal for the regions that have been mention.. related of course to the events within GOM.

It's related!

If you follow the quake activity in the region, there are dozens in the lower 150 miles of California, into Mexico, every day. In my opinion, this is more closely related to the Cerro Prieto volcano / geothermal region than anything in the Gulf of Mexico since the Colorado River has been dammed in many places on the way to the Gulf of California reducing freshwater supply to the delta and into aquifers.

So do you have any opinion why the spike happening right now. Dozens even up to 100 in a 24 hour period but not a new quake every 2-5 mins.

Thanks

I could see why you are with that thought.
Right now however, if you look very close.

There is no wiggle room, more so when there is pressure!

The World move's sometimes at a slow pace, but now?

I think not!

I could be incorrect, but most of the time I am not.

Just my thoughts!!

The area averages hundreds of quakes a year with several in the 4-5 range.
It is one of only a few areas of tectonic spreading on land.
Cerro Prieto Geothermal is the largest geothermal power plant in the world and they've been siphoning water / steam to operate it since the early 70's.
Over the 50 years there have been dams built on the Colorado River for irrigation and such resulting in a net negative growth of the delta- it is being eroded into the Gulf of California; tide levels have been dropping in the area for years.

So I don't know why I'd think this is a somewhat normal occurance.

Last night baseball game was affected by this event in CA. Touch your cursor on the the area in the Orange, it will give history.

I suspect one more real soon near the coast of Mexico shore line (East)

The Oceans floor is getting weak under the GOM.

There is bigger trouble ahead!

You have done extensive work on this, very good insight young Lady!

I'm concern, and I have many.. where will be the next pending event be?
From the Center of Mother Earth?

I'm still certain, it will unfold near the Gulf of Mexico.
Considering the Population on the Coast lines, from there to the Panhandle! That time frame I'm still uncertain of, however I'm sure that when any section of Ocean floor in the Gulf will drop, then more Oil will be released, along with the Toxic eleiments that goes with it. It's gets ugly from the bottom up as it has already... The reality, it will blow in by the Wind!

Smell the danger before it covers your body!

50% of Humans depend on the Oceans to live!
100% of Oceans life depends on the Ocean!
Take the same cause of death, and cover the land with the same substance, same outcome!

I was not very good in Math, but you know... I'm getting better!

Be Wise!
Be Well!!

I know this is not a very objective statement I am about to make, but I have for the past few months felt like this is just the beginning of a very long string of very strange things happening. Like it was said, I think it will be a very bumpy and interesting year!

This is also very strange, my earlier post Strange quakes

Earth quakes just 100 metres below ground!

Sorry it has taken awhile to get back to your question.. my answer, the location, The Gulf happens to be the concern I have because if you look close,it's the breeding area for most of our Food supply that allows 50% of human life to exist. Now take 100% of that Ocean's ability to provide for our Ocean/Sea life to live in it away, numbers are in the --.

The results of this mistake in drilling there, will be realized!

This next part of my opinion is not directed towards you "Abecedarian" However thank you for your question.

Bad Form Mate! Hugh!,Ugly I say!

I hope it eat's your profits away for those that made this discision!

But if I'm not mistaken, BP paid you before this got really ugly in your Stock options and such... within Five day's afterwards, ooh because you deserved it! Your safe now!

While the rest of us attempts to maintain.

Allot of Life is at stake here!

$20 Billion should do it so you say for now...

Can you afford Trillions? Thought not!

Sorry , I just get White Hot at times... had to vent!
