Seriously, it felt like it was gonna be another 7.2. The same thing happened afterwards aswell, which was the circular swaying motion. It actually shook me up a bit.

Wow, as im typing this an earthquake is hitting.

Wow, I feel like tonight isn't going to be very good.

I'm about 100 miles NNW of the epicenter and not much happened, just some hanging things swaying, and a little slosh out of the tub. Only about 5 seconds or so of motion. No aftershocks felt.

This end of the San Andreas has been moving a bit lately, though:

Quite a few earthquakes happening quickly. Lets hope a big one doesn't occur

I'm here in L.A. and we felt it pretty good; just a ceiling fan was swaying; and my nerves. Scary. And yes - I live in L.A. and am still afraid of earthquakes -

Maybe that one kid doing the earthquake predictions for California was right?

Ocotillo, CA is about 30mins away, and where the earthquake hit, Im right in that area. It felt wierd, I could feel my feet being pushed up.

I don't know but, something is odd.

Nah. It's Mexico tilting due to the oil flowing into the Gulf- east is sinking, west is lifting.

I'm seeing lots of after shocks in eQuake...are my California neighbors and friends going to stay up late tonight posting on ATS? I hope so. I don't think I'd sleep after that.

I am for sure, that quake made me alert to the max haha. Lets just wait to see what happens.

My dad was just in Calexico, waiting for my grandma to come from Mexicali, he was in the car but he said he didnt feel anything.

Seriously though, I'm in the beach cities about 100 miles north of this EQ, so it wasn't all that strong up here, but it felt like a rather strange kind of earthquake movement...sort of like a circular type of motion and then one big "ka-thump."

Been 20 2.5+ mag quakes in the area since, too. I think this is activity continuing north from the Baja 7.7 earlier this year.

Am in NZ but chatting to a friend in SoCal who felt the initial quake very strongly - said was very "loud" and swaying.

Yeah tell me about it. I felt my feet getting pushed up, and off balance. Then when I got my little brother and myself outside. I sat down to call my sister to make sure she and the kids were alright. While I sat down I couldn't see straight. Just as if you spun around 10 times and sat down. Thats almost as good as I can explain.

Oh and I just felt an aftershock, dogs are barking.....
