UNHCR chief says 2009 "worst" year for voluntary repatriation in two decades

Some 43.3 million people were forcibly displaced worldwide at the end of 2009, the highest number of people uprooted by conflict and persecution since the mid-1990s, according to UNHCR's annual 2009 Global Trends report, released today. At the same time, the number of refugees voluntarily returning to their home countries has fallen to its lowest level in twenty years.

This seems to be just a complicated way of saying the world is screwed... and only getting worse. These numbers are staggering and indicative of where we are heading as a species. Sad.. but also true.

It seems that the modern we become, the more aggressive to each other we become. If we keep this kind of thing up, we are looking at a very bleak future, in which we digress from prosperity, rather than progress to it.

Does anyone have a clue as to why things are getting worse? Could it be the NWO struggling for power or maybe even TPTB getting more greedy?

Think it may be due to population density - people in large cities or large crowds seem to be more short-tempered , violent. Much like rats in a cage.. Add in the corrupt politicians with their thirst for empire .. Its only a theory.. But have noticed that anyplace Ive been thats rural or small villages people are much more relaxed and help each other more than people in large population areas do.. I hate large cities/crowds and avoid them. People get stupid in large groups.
