What spending cuts would you make to bail you country out?

Let's see...hmmm save more? Shop more? I'd stop "supporting" the war for one thing. And change the tax system (maybe go with a flat consumption tax), which would sort of be a backdoor spending cut. And I'd stop shipping work overseas and start more companies to make things here again. There's not a lot I can do personally to bail my country out though, and half the things I can think of are going to cause job losses (IRS, military, road crews). I'd say I'd consume less, but I already do and that would backfire on the economy anyway. I'm so confused. I guess I'm just a dummy all around.
