Howabout this: This is a BP, Goldman Sachs and US Government conspiracy. At the expense of the taxpayers. How so?

1. BP wants to drill more wells and behind closed doors, propose their plans.

2. Government agrees despite their "Green Stance," because there are short term profits at hand. Green Technology is tomorrows technology. Still not refined enough to be 100% pracical, or profitable.

3. In order for Obama's "base" to not be pissed at him for allowing more drilling, they make it look like an accident.

4. BP Shares plummet, BP CEO sells ahead of time, as well as Goldman Sachs. The Public loses their asses as stock prices plummet. Goldman Sachs buys shares back at deflated prices.

5. BP profits even after fines (Two wells instead of 1), Goldman Sachs profits, Government profits, we clean up the mess and pay for everything via transfer of wealth (financial government sponsored ecological terrorism.)

just a scenario.

We have received a "Contact ATS" email from a source claiming to be connected to BP and the operations in the Gulf of Mexico. While the person making contact omitted a reply-to email address (apparently out of concern for his safety), we can verify that the IP of origin is from the Gulf region... specifically a city in Louisiana well-populated with people that work in the Gulf oil industry.

The email makes several claims, some of which we've seen in various forms here on ATS, and some we've not seen before -- including the improbable notion that BP purposefully caused the blow-out because it was apparently the only way to quickly get two new highly-profitable wells drilled.

However, we must take such efforts at information distribution with significant skepticism. The email is presented as-is in the hope that the combined research and investigative talent of our membership may be able to determine if there is any validity to what has been offered. Additionally, we must consider that highly-provocative information such as this may have been crafted to throw "us" off-target into absurd areas of inquiry... which brings up a whole new set of concerns.

Contact form submission user's name: BP SUP

===========================================================

Hello ATS
I'm a field sup pulled off a BP rig in the gulf to assist in several areas here and a fan of ATS. There are many things happening here that are only whispered about and more and more of us are getting very worried that this is the worst disaster man has seen and maybe even caused.
I'm a couple hours away from reporting to a security briefing along with many others, and then to what they are saying will be a long term assignment off shore. There are a lot of concerns from the inside you should know about.
The doodlebs (seismic analysts) we talk to have stories of repeated rhythmic events at the well head days before the blowout that was the original reason for several being on rig at the time of the blowout. Now no one talks about that since the two who were compiling data on the non-natural seismic signs have gone missing. Another who knows the doodleb killed in the blowout is telling me he was recommending an immediate pooh and manual trip of the bop.
There are others who are talking about rumors that something was happening at the bop hours before the blowout.
My current assignment has been the containment of any information about anything happening here. Something terrible happen on the floor yesterday and the doodlebs aren't talking except that they all look like they saw a ghost and everyone here is talking doom. My new job was to work with the press liais to push back all reporters and noncompany scientists. But now I have no idea what I will be doing.
All of us concerned BPers (yes, there are many) are talking that something or someone was at the bop and either deliberately caused the blowout or made a grave error that caused the bop to malfunction when the inevitable blowout happened.
Everyone here is talking about it but no one dare say anything to anyone even their families.
There's also something happening about 100 miles southeast of the rig site with several navy and uscg ships. And Friday two serious looking guys arrive and started directing our sup. Apparently they showed Navy Intelligence ID when they arrived along with a dozen commando looking guys.
Rumor is that now they're going to call marshall law and all of us will be prevented from leaving the ships to see our families. Things are going from really bad to crazy.
Nearly everyone here is of the belief that the blowout was planned as a way to destroy a well that had too many problems to be ultimately profitable, and get two new wells drilled (the relief wells) that will be wildly profitable and the only way to do that was destroy this one. We calculated that even with paying cleanup costs the profit on two wells in this reserve will far outweigh the costs in less than a year.
I hope you get this and trust me enough to find a way to get it out as it will probably be the last time I have access to internet and might be the only way you hear a BP employee talk about this for some time.
And Im sorry I can't give you my email as I'm concerned for what might happen if this disclosure is traced back to me

DISCLAIMER:

The email is offered as-is without any claims of accuracy from ATS ownership other than these are the unedited words of the submitter.

The person submitting this information had the clear hope that we would post it for public review, and in the interest of ensuring we encourage future methods of potentially critical information disclosure, we are doing so.

I'm not sure of the time you recieved this, it would make this exceedingly interesting. But it seemed to come out simultaneously with a press release(leak) about BOP issues and safety issues. Not sure if he picked this up as it came out and fired it off as a prank or if this party is actually involved.

His lingo is too good. I know many BP employees here. And if this person was trying to convey a point to laymen I doubt he would have made such an effort to use the appropriate rigger lingo.

He was a field supervisor? Then a press liason? I'm looking at the job descriptions and they aren't remotely similar. Seems an odd transition.

He created separation between the 3 seismic specialists. As one was killed in the explosion and 2 disappeared sometime since. There are no reports whatsoever of missing BP seismic specialists from the horizon or the area in general since the blowout. That means no missing person reports. A family member would have filed something.

As far as the coastguard ships 100 miles se of the rig, thats the far reach of the oil cloud, so it makes sense they'd be there.

I also doubt a low level field supervisor who wasn't on the horizon and doesn't know what his job is would be involved in high level security briefings.

Now I see a lot of really current info, just hit the wire stuff mixed with enough conjecture to stir up a contrversey. If you eliminate all of the public info from the story, well the rest doesn't jibe. His backstory doesn't make sense.

I tend to toss this in the hoax category. I live down here in mandeville. I've been to Grande Isle several times since the spill. There are some people down here, a helluva lot of people who would draw and quarter any BP employee they could find. Now we know the email came from this area, and we do get the news about the spill ahead of the rest of the world so it could appear as inside information. But it strikes me as an angry local trying to throw BP even further under the bus.

I have gone over this email a few times now, and have a theory
that maybe this insider is real, but not as inside as he is portraying.

I looked at various words within the email like:

field supervisor
responding to a security briefing
long term assignment
containment of any information
my new job
to push back
marshall
concerned BP'ers
Navy Intelligence

and think that this guy may work for Wackenhut vs. being an actual employee of BP, which would explain familiarity with the operations, but with some variations in some of his statements and his use of many terms that relate directly to the security industry. It is not uncommon for security people to relate to the companies that they work for in terms of being an employee instead of a contract employee. We have already seen a video here on ATS where a Wackenhut employee denied that he even worked for Wackenhut, even when his shirt was labeled as such.

Anyways, more food for thought.....

That sounds right - mix up a few job descriptions to protect anonymity, or just because he's insider but not actually BP.

I have my suspicions about the email for a variety of reasons but think about it for a moment.

Can you imagine what it must be like to be an honest-working BP employee, trying to make a living and raise your family and have all of this happen in the meantime? Behind closed doors, the employees of said company would inevitably throw wild theories around themselves and speculate about what might have occurred and why. The entire company would be a rumor-mill.

All I'm saying is.. This person might have heard alot of the different theories and rumors rolling around and come to certain conclusions on his/her own. The email might have been legitimately sent out of frustration and rumors amongst the BP ranks when alot of it isn't accurate.

That being said, Navy Intelligence is pretty specific. Something out of the ordinary might be going on if these strange seismic events really happened in the days leading up to the rig explosion. I'm just curious what is going on at the site mentioned to be 100 miles from the site of the rig/leak.

One thought that came to mind was possible UFO crash or something else. Whatever would have caused said tremors must have either been there all along or it's something foreign that shouldn't be there (impact/crash of some type). Just like some sites are hotspots for UFO activity, some locations are hotspots for USO's.. And if there really are undersea UFO bases out there in the ocean there's no telling what might have caused the tremors.

Or maybe it was just Atlantis rising again! "Abyss" anyone?

One of the theories I've heard is that the Deepwater Horizon was owned by a company called "Transocean" which was funded by "Hyundai" (A South Korean company) and that the North Koreans blew it up as a strike at South Korea (and the U.S.).

The North Korean “cargo vessel” Dai Hong Dan supposedly deployed the mini-sub that attacked the rig on April 18th when it came within 130 miles of the Deepwater Horizon. It, honestly, sounds pretty silly. Only catch is.. The ship that came within 130 miles of the rig at one point (perhaps within the 100 mile window given in the email). It would also explain the "commando" looking guys. I'm just thinking of possibilities here.

I have been thinking that exact same thing for weeks. (About April 19th.)

I think there are a lot of signs that point to this being sabotage. One of the biggest is the way this crisis is being handled.

Our government is either completely inept, and can't handle a simple problem... or there is much more going on than they are telling us.....or, its all being orchestrated by a power other than (or higher than) our government.

[edit on 14-6-2010 by nikiano]

Have you ever considered that some problems are just too large and complex for the technologies that create them? This belief that 'the government' can fix anything needs to be dispelled. jefferybinladen has started a great thread illustrating in detail the most likely reason why 'nothing is being done'.

seek it out.

Continue reading the main story BBC special coverage graphic

This week, the BBC is assessing the impact of the Louisiana oil spill. Correspondents in the US, the Gulf of Mexico, Brazil, Nigeria and London will be reporting for the BBC World Service, World News TV and the BBC News website.
Full coverage of the oil disaster

Earlier, he said the ongoing oil spill would change the way the US thinks about energy forever - comparing the effect of the disaster on the environment to the way 9/11 shaped US security policy.

In Monday's statement, the president was clear about the need for changes to energy policy.

"Beyond the risks inherent in drilling four miles beneath the surface of the Earth, our dependence on oil means that we will continue to send billions of dollars of our hard-earned wealth to other countries every month - including many in dangerous and unstable regions," he said.

"In other words, our continued dependence on fossil fuels will jeopardise our national security. It will smother our planet. And it will continue to put our economy and our environment at risk.

"We cannot delay any longer, and that is why I am asking for your help. "

My take on this is that the Gulf disaster was planned to allow the US to introduce a new form of energy / fuel that they alone are in conrtol of. The oil spill and susequent catastropy was designed to force every other country to accept that this is the way forward and also put and end to the stupidly expensive ME wars for oil. Just my 2 pence

Perhaps. Or perhaps that is really the most sane, logical thing for the president to say after 50 million gallons o foil have leaked into coastal waters.

Hoax.

Anyone concerned about maintaining their anonymity would never reveal;

A - What their job is, and
B - What kind of meeting they would be attending and when.

That criteria narrows down the choices of possible employees who might have written this email.

If it's not a hoax (not that there might not be some truth in it somewhere), then they are certainly not very discrete nor intelligent.

No, you are absolutely correct, go look at his other posts. He is always a militant optimist about the oil spill.

I wish I knew how to get one of these jobs blogging for some company! I would love to come on here and get paid to tell you guys not to worry about anything, everything will be fine, have another swig of the happy sauce!

JW, can you get me an application?

We create the world with our perceptions. If someone reminding you of that pisses you off, i hope oyu at least note the irony.

Tell me, what company pays this man to be positive? Fear sells more than optimism.

Seems strange they would send it to ATS instead of the main stream media outlets. Why not go on the record as a secret source. One of those guys with the black outed face. I don't know folks. I'm dusting off the hoax flag on this one. Haven't hung it yet but walking to the pole.

Then again, Obama is giving a Oval Office prime timer tomorrow. He might give us the end of the world speech as he rockets off to the space station.

Let's wait an see what happens tomorrow guys.

I know this does not relate directly to the OP, but since this is the most relevant thread at the moment, I would like to quote something from the Hopi:

The Hopi also have prophesied that "Turtle Island could turn over two or three times and the oceans could join hands and meet the sky." This seems to be a prophecy of a "pole shift" -- a flipping, of the planet on its axis. The Hopi call this imminent condition -- and that of society today -- "Koyaanisqatsi", which means "world out of balance...a state of life that calls for another way. "

This is a bit off topic, but I read an article from the New York Times claiming Obama said, “Things are going to return to normal.” I don't know what others think, but this totally contradicts anything I've read on ATS. How can things return to normal after the planet has received such a devastating wound? IMO this is even more evidence that the government is hiding things from the people.

Richard Hoagland on C2C just mentioned that there is a possibility based on sea floor height measurements that there is a large and active intersitial layer flooding and compression by the higher gas and oil pressures below. There is evidence to support the near supersonic velocities within the eroded casing that is now injecting gas and oil into strata that may fail in the weeks or months ahead. A unverified report of the sea floor bed within several thousand meters of the well show a large lifting and destension.

Interesting times.

It's the law of Benjamin. As in currency.

It takes months and lots and lots of money to drill these relief wells.

It is incredible that only because of money we are doing such things. I say "we" because almost all humans lose their mind when it comes to money...

The responsibles for this catastrophic event should eat some oil infested fish to see what they have done to the gulf of mexico and the rest of the world!

Yes, but both are true.

The pressures of the oil and gas coming up are titanic. One cannot just 'release pressure' with the relief wells---this would be equivalent of causing two more enormous oil leaks.

What they will do with these relief wells is to inject heavy drilling 'mud', which has a much higher density than water or oil into the main well.

They will inject enough of this from below, which will be pushed upward.

Eventually the weight of a mile of drilling mud will counteract the pressures coming from the oil reservoir. Then, with the pressure so contained, they will be able to safely re-line and pour cement from the top of the main, damaged, well and seal it off.

This is standard proven technology..

O.K., I'm goin' a little off-topic, but I'm desperate! I've asked this question in several other oilleak threads, but no one has answered.

I live in Richland Parish, prolly 300 miles north of the coast. (I kept saying 180-200, I was wrong)

Is there anything that we should worry about this far from the coast? I mean, there's no way contaminated air could come this far in. As for oily rain and hurricanes, I am afraid of that. I have a huge garden and would be devastated if it were killed! I put 75 ears of sweet corn in the freezer just a few hours ago, and have creamed corn cooking to go in the freezer. I still have lots of everything trying to ripen for harvest. It would be a disaster to lose it all!
