Morgellons Victims Across the US and Europe (Part 1)

I have seen this topic around ATS for years but haven't really dug deep into this one, however I stumbled upon this lengthy article and thought it may be of some interest to the members

Over the past ten years, more than 100 000 people in the United States and in Europe have complained about a strange and devastating skin disease known as Morgellons. The medical community is divided between those who dismiss it as a psychological disorder and those who regard Morgellons as an emerging disease deserving further study. This issue would normally be confined to scientific medical journals if the Pentagon and federal "law-enforcement" agencies were not so actively engaged in hiding it from the public. In the first part of his investigation, Hank Albarelli reports on a controversy which leads straight to new weapons experiments of the most secret order.

Three weeks ago, we wrote about a “disease” known as Morgellons that very few people in the world know anything about. We placed the word disease above in quotation marks only because a large number of physicians refuse to recognize Morgellons as a medical affliction, with some even refusing to treat patients who suffer from it.

We have listened to a long litany of accounts about doctors who have literally laughed in the faces of Morgellons sufferers, male and female, young and old, with many attempting to make referrals to psychologists. Remarkably, other physicians have mounted web sites mocking and attacking people who report they have Morgellons and those who write about it. Some physicians have dubbed the disease Delusions of Parasitosis, meaning it’s all in the patient’s head. Additionally, there is a website entitled morgellonswatch.com “dedicated to examining the claims made regarding what is termed ‘Morgellons Disease’” and to preventing “sick people into thinking they may have a terrible disease.” Oddly, there are no formal individual or institutional sponsoring names identified on this site.

This is heavy stuff....kinda puts the oil spill into perspective doesnt it?
We as Humans have been tempting fate with suicidal experiments and endeavours for too long now!
The simple truth is we know too much for the maturity leel of the species to handle....somebody should best come and take the matches away from the baby!
Humanity is in serious need of SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE.....before we make any more forays into the darkness......
The extinction level events we are capable of producing are multipying faster than we can deal with intellectually and spiritually.
What kind of beings are we that we can contemplate so many ways to kill others....it is our main industry.

I first heard about morgellons in Psychology Today. I researched it further, and find nothing really compelling shows it's anything more than psychosomatic, or self-induced. I've seen videos, of people spraying themselves with fairly toxic substances and scraping away the top layer of skin, all the while proclaiming you can see the fibers moving. I've seen videos of people picking open scabs and proclaiming the scab is somehow artificial. As is all of their hair, any itch, tickle or twinge. I've read reports about people collecting lint, skin scrapings, scabs, bandages, and presenting it all to their doctor, self-diagnosed with "morgellons". I've seen pictures of things attributed to "morgellons" that are obviously NOT anything alive, being claimed is moving........all in all a lot of people thinking they are sick, and not really supplying any proof. Not even close to the same symptoms, person to person, nor any consensus of the agent involved. Those range from unknown parasite to emplanted "nano-technology"/biologic chymaera.
I'll wait for the CDC's final report. And yes, I do have a chronic condition, with no known cause or cure, so I do know how they feel. My condition is recognized as medical, though.

yeah, it may be alien, but really, it probably isnt ... if it was, they would be studying these people, instead of #ing their life

well, yes, there are probably people that does that, I mean, there are people that drink blood, eat flesh, murder kids, eat kids, ... why wouldnt exist people that hurt their bodies

but if they really did use some kind of equipment to check the thing, thats different than just saying some non sense ... the thing would be to monitor these patients for some days ...

I've seen the actual "things" on youtube and in photos on Morgellans sites.
It seems the medical community is scared witless about this disease.
I guess it's scary because it is isn't in some far off land but on their doorstep.
And it mentions it's a military weapon.....

Dr. MacArthur informed Congress: “[Establishing new biological weapons] is a highly controversial issue, and there are many who believe such research should not be undertaken lest it lead to yet another method of massive killing of large populations. On the other hand, without sure scientific knowledge that such a weapon is possible, and an understanding of the ways it could be done, there is little that can be done to devise defensive measures. Should an enemy develop it there is little doubt that this is an important area of potential military technological inferiority in which there is no adequate research program.”

This always seems to be the justification for these kind of experiments.
And it wouldn't be the first time the military have experimented on the civilian population either.

CDC investigation

A Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) task force first met in June 2006.[29] In July 2006, Dan Rutz, MPH, a communications specialist for the CDC, said, "We're not ready to concede there's a new disease, but the volume of concern has stepped up because a lot of people are writing or calling their congressmen about it."[30] By August 2006, the task force consisted of 12 people, including two pathologists, a toxicologist, an ethicist, a mental health expert and specialists in infectious, parasitic, environmental and chronic diseases.[31] In May 2007, KGW-TV Newschannel 8's Laural Porter asked Rutz if he had any information about the nature of the fibers. At that time Rutz said, "None. We don't know. We haven't studied them in a lab yet. There is nothing to imply there is [an infectious process], but our mind is open to everything, including that remote possibility." Since then, the CDC has launched a funded study (see below) that will include further examination of fibers taken from Morgellons lesions by the CDC.

In June 2007, the CDC opened a website on "Unexplained Dermopathy (aka 'Morgellons')".[10] By November 2007, the CDC had announced an investigation process, stating that, "The primary goals of the investigation are to better describe the clinical and epidemiologic features of this condition and to generate hypotheses about possible risk factors."[10] Kaiser Permanente in Northern California was chosen to assist with investigation, which will begin when the scientific protocols and review board structure have been prepared and approved. Investigators will report on the geographic distribution of the illness and estimate rates of illness in affected communities. The investigation will involve skin biopsies from affected patients and characterization of foreign material such as fibers or threads obtained from patients to determine their potential source.[10][32] In January 2008 it was reported that CDC was enlisting the aid of the U.S. Armed Forces Institute of Pathology and the American Academy of Dermatology "to conduct 'immediate' and 'rigorous' research."[33]

Following a mailing campaign coordinated by the Morgellons Research Foundation in which "self-described sufferers clicked on the foundation Web site and sent thousands of form letters to members of Congress,"[2] the CDC, in conjunction with Kaiser Permanente's Northern California Division of Research, launched a study of the unexplained skin condition known as Morgellons. A press conference was held on Jan 16, 2008, with Michele Pearson, principal investigator for the CDC, and Joe Selby, Director of Kaiser Permanente's Northern California Division of Research.[34] During the press conference, Pearson stated: "What I can tell you is real is the suffering that these patients are experiencing. I cannot characterize this as a syndrome, as disease. I can tell you it's an unexplained illness." Clinical examinations for the study will be done in Oakland, California.

On 4 November 2009, the CDC issued a preliminary report based on an external peer review of the project. The report stated that "Data collection has been completed and analysis is ongoing."[35] This report also explained that any findings would most likely be published in a peer-reviewed scientific journal once data analysis is complete and results are available.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, I have heard of it but never read any stats on it, this is definitely frighting. I am curious if the common doctor knows about this disease, highly doubt it.
