Welcome Praxilla!

Just a heads up for everyone, my monitor crapped out on my main computer so I may not have posts up for a few more days, just letting you all know that I haven't gone AWOL or anything...

I'm a little POd at luder.

Didn't invite your old buddy SLAYER to a Zombie fest?
pffft.

I may just jump in the mix and write some gory stuff anyway.

Zombie fiction??? Count me in!

I have a couple of ideas for characters, depending on what the thread will need.

1. A serious lone gunslinger whose new profession is escorting people through zombie ridden zones for exhorbitant fees, or...

2. A more humorous, sentient zombie, who has retained his thinking ability but is just so freaking hungry that he can't stop himself. At least he still loves his kitten, Hiccups...

Let me know which one I should roll up into existence..

And this is way too cool, can't wait to get started.

Hi All!

I shared this on the Space Opera Working Thread and thought you Zombie-ites might find it useful too!

I've been looking through 3D software - (I want something more substantial that Adobe pics) - to help with my visual perception of the NPC Characters like Whisper's Chumley and while searching for some software help I found this!!!

SCULPTRIS

Very clean little program, fast too, and really fun... Oh - and did I say very user friendly?

Quick example of a figure I made from scratch in like 15 minutes to make.

Great program!

Have fun using it to get some 3D in those Zombies of yours!

I'm really enjoying reading your story - Keep up the great Collaboration!

peace

Well good for you.

Wonders if she'll be able to handle the heat of a Zombie fest.

Just kidding.

So now that we have a few new and a few old. Let's get this hog rolling again. The thread reads great so far.

Ive already started my story....just got to get my writer status now

Im trying to set it just prior to full public knowledge of the outbreak, ie, setting it in a fictional medium sized town which has been completely shut down. Thats if thats ok of course?

Using a military character of course, which will probably fit in pretty easily with the big picture

I have a question.

After discussing this with another thread member and upon receiving several U2Us from some readers the question was brought up.

Are the zombies slow moving traditional types [Night of the living dead, original Dawn of the dead etc?] or are they fast movers like in the remake of Dawn of the dead and the plague ones from 28 days later? Technically, 28 days/weeks are not really Zombies.

In Zombieism there are two camps of fans. I'd suggest a compromise. I'll try to include both. Some Zombies are just too far decomposed to run and jump while others who are fresh so to speak have some agility.

Your thoughts?

I'd say a mix is logical depending on the rate of decomposition. In my real-life Zombie escape plan
I've always included plans for both, but if we were facing 28 days later types - I'd probably just suck-start a .45 and be done with it.

So - including both works fine.
