bUT TO BE FRANK the cost of the move could be billions .

I would suggest the Caribbean. I live on Roatan (South of the loop) Real Estate Developer (Mangrove Dock) and have found many people are relocating from the Gulf Coast. I've been personally giving a lot of thought to Idaho, it seems to have a good growing season, tolerable winters, and a political climate thats fairly acceptable to the prepper mentality. There are also some fantastically small towns out there and low population density so you won't have a mass of people trying to storm your retreat when the cheese slides all the way off.
