Go back inside, folks. Absolutely nothing to see here. Did you hear Tom Cruise dressed up as his character from Tropic Thunder during the MTV Movie Awards? And he even danced! I'm serious. There's also a lively debate as to who that girl from Twilight will be dating in the third movie.

Say, is Hannah Montana old enough to have a drug scandal yet? Don't these things interest you people? Did you watch the World Cup? America and England tied! What do yall think of the NBA Finals? The referees are under suspicion for bad calls, ya know?

Go back inside, please. The NWO will take care of you.

Tom Cruise was not in Tropic Thunder..Maybe there is a forum for comic relief that would suite you better, since this forum is for grownups.

As a matter of fact he was I suggest YOU get your facts straight before speaking and appearing as a more ignorant moron than you probable are. He was the bald dancing billionaire in the movie.

The topic on which the OP is speaking was a joke column done in humor. If you fail to realize that you are beyond mentally handicap.

The news about Goldman's bet against the Gulf comes on the heels of embarrassing revelations that the firm had taken a short position on Lindsay Lohan's acting career. More here.

Yes there is something odd about that article from the huffington post, I don't think it was meant to be serious, if thats the case then thats a highly irresponsible article. I'm confused now, does this mean that this was just a joke that was missunderstood? or is this based on fact?

It was always meant in humor. Watching the few people who actually made threads over this, thinking it was real only points to those who are indeed not worthy of reproducing. If you even for a moment thought this was a serious article you must have an IQ of 80 or lower.

There is a lot more truth in art than in MSM.
I wouldn't call lies in MSM "real" or "serious" stuff.
"Humor" may be a good way to present the underlying truth.
In art you play with concepts to provoke attention and criticism from people.

Very good thread.

What would be the fun in killing them? Lets enslave them like they enslave all us...we'll let them live off our scraps, we'll lie to them constantly and keep them dumbed down so they try not to refute us, we'll keep them scared with false flag operations and live off of the wealth their work generates...they'll have nothing whilst we have everything!!!!!! seems the disinfo agents are out
in force tonight, lol

calling folks stupid and not worthy of producing
for believing this story is downright insulting.

And if this was a LIE,
then there would have been another
story right behind it where GS sues
the crap outta huff for false reporting
and slander. But I see no such post.
IMO, this IS factual reporting.

What is truly unfortunate is it wasn't even built yet on 9/11. If you try and make a valid point on something, don't end your argument on bad information.

The real story here isn't the shorting of the stock or the selling of BP stock - the real story here is how they appeared to know IN ADVANCE (three to four months in advance?) to sell BP stock and specifically short TransOcean stock.

After 9/11, they started (evan a lame one) investigation into massive shorting of airline stocks - they need to do a serious investigation here. Put Ron Paul in charge of a Senate investigation committee into Goldman Sachs and any other banks that took similar positions just before the spill.

This is disaster capitalism in action, in its purest form. If you're not acquainted with the term yet, get to it quickly, this is the philosophy that the major global players all live by now and will continue to do so until there's a total overhaul.

Have you even stopped to think what the ultimate goal of creating this disaster would bring?... the end of "Capitalism".... People will demand for "the government" to take over and put more controls to "avoid this from ever happening again"...

Capitalism is not about a few men/women having all the money in the world...that's what happens in Socialism when the "State", even a corporate state, has all the power, and owns all infraestructure...but for some reason people like you are falling for their latest scam, and believing that "Capitalism is evil"...go figure...

Capitalism isn't evil, you're right. I don't think a system or ideology can be evil. Depends on how you look at it though. With great power comes great responsibility and I believe that is true for freedom as well. Freedom is a privilege and it takes responsibility to uphold it. It is your responsibility to ensure that you grant the same freedoms to everyone that you enjoy. Same goes for governments.

However, the freedom to become rich satisfies our worst trait that not only brings out the absolute worst in us, but is probably deemed to be the cause of all our suffering. I'm talking about greed. Because we base our entire society on such a destructive sin really shows where our priorities really are. Is capitalism bad? Of course not. Capitalism used to mean freedom to achieve what you were truly capable of. A poor man wasn't destined to be poor due to class and if you really worked hard you could make it to the top.

The American dream, right?

Well, I find it funny because capitalism parallels communism quite nicely in terms of their idealistic nature and the grim contrasting reality. Looks great on paper! It seems these forms of societies only seem to suit those people in which it serves. Both are just different paths to the same goal: Power. Until we the people develop our own system, we're stuck between extremes.
