Yes the catholic church seems to be a big part of this problem, as shown in one of your threads......

It's disgusting that a church would not only condone, but encourage people to break the laws of any country.

It's funny that they encourage people to break our laws, but condemn anyone that breaks the laws of their church, bunch of hypocrits.

Unless your a child molester, I don't think they've condemned that yet.
Maybe that's the whole purpose of wanting the children of illegals born in America with their assistance when possible.
More young girls and boys to teach
the ways of the church.
You all know what I mean. Would an illegal family run to the cops?

You are both right, it would right now be an unconstitutional law. I also would have to stand by the constitution on this one.

My hope is that this will bring to light how much the 14th amendment needs to be amended as there are those that are taking advantage of it and it is being used for something that it was never intended to be used for.

My hope is not for this proposed law to supersede the constitution, but rather to push the federal government to find a solution to this problem.

the child becomes a citizen of Britain and is entitled to all the benefits that go with it..
even if the parents leave Britain and return home all money and things the child is entitled to go with it via bank accounts etc...
it entitles them to free health cure in all EU. country's....

Sounds like the same thing we're going through over here. Is it a big problem over there ? Does your country have a problem with a majority of migrant workers coming predominately form one country, like the majority of illegals in our country are coming from Mexico ?

Urszula Jukes, owner of recruitment agency Access Europe which specialises in placing eastern European migrants in work, said the falling value of the pound meant it made less economic sense for Poles to send money back home from Britain, and many were opting to bring their relatives to the UK instead.

The exchange rate has fallen from seven Polish zlotys to the pound in 2004 to just four.

She said: 'A few years ago it would have been OK for single workers to use their wages to support their family at home. But the exchange rate is lower so they cannot afford to send the money to Poland where more of it will be lost almost straight away.

'For many the answer is to bring their family here where they can support them with the higher UK wages and Government support.

'Families are almost always better off and they have more stability as there is the generous welfare state which helps them a great deal.'

Tom Wlodarski, from the East of England Polish Community Organisation, agreed that many Polish families were 'here to stay', feeling it was 'better to ride out the recession here in England'.

Migrationwatch chairman Sir Andrew Green said: 'The Government keeps telling us that eastern Europeans are not a burden on the welfare state. But these reports suggest some families could quite soon become a significant cost to the taxpayer.'

yeah Europe has open borders so basically anyone can go live in another euro country...
god help Britain when turkey joins the European union as there will be millions of them headed our way..
this is all on top of the illegal immigrants from outside the EU and immigrants from the old commonwealth country's who also have a legal right to come to Britain..
the numbers are really scary...

I am all for repealing that amendment. I work extensively down south, and everyone that ACTUALLY LIVES THERE knows the illegal situation is beyond absurd.

You have illegals that are cranking out kids as fast as they can, as soon as they get here, as some sort of means to avoid being deported.

It's way past time we do something, and this would be a good start.

So they don't have free haelthcare in Poland already ? I'm sorry but I don't know much about how things work in Europe. What I'm getting from your posts is that Poland doesn't have the benefits that Britain does and when these migrant workers come there and have their children there if they go back to Poland they can still go back to any British country and receive free health benefits for their children. Am I understanding that correctly ?

I know that this proposed law would be unconstitutional, I'm just hoping that by attempting to pass it Arizona would make the federal government see how badly our country needs a solution to this problem.

I see here in Chicago how bad the problem is, and one of our reps makes it worse because he's one of the main ones always crying out about how we can't deport them and break up the families, and of course they can't deport the children because they're American citizens.

Through our 14th amendment they've found their golden egg

chise61, I posted this in another thread and I'm still waiting for an answer as too, What about the kids back then?

OK, I have a question, Now read this very carefully, OK?
When these three POTUS deported these Illegals, what was the status of their American Born Children? Please tell me.

Three Presidents did it, yet we never hear about it

What did Hoover, Truman, and Eisenhower have in common?
Here is something that should be of great interest for you to pass around.
I didn't know of this until it was pointed out to me.

Back during The Great Depression, President Herbert Hoover ordered the
deportation of ALL illegal aliens in order to make jobs available to American
citizens that desperately needed work..

Harry Truman deported over two million Illegals after WWII to create jobs for returning veterans.

And then again in 1954, President Dwight Eisenhower deported 13 million
Mexican Nationals! The program was called 'Operation Wetback'. It was
done so WWII and Korean Veterans would have a better chance at jobs.
It took 2 Years, but they deported them!

Now...if they could deport the illegals back then - they could sure do it today.

lf you have doubts about the veracity of this information, enter Operation
Wetback into your favorite search engine and confirm it for yourself..
Reminder: Don't forget to pay your taxes...12 million Illegal Aliens are depending on you! And I think their Chilren are too

This story talks about the present day deportation of illegal parents of children that are US citizens. I've posted it acouple of times before.

Based on that finding, at least 13,000 American children have seen one or both parents deported in the past two years after round-ups in factories and neighborhoods. The figures are expected to grow. Over all, about 3.1 million American children have at least one parent who is an illegal immigrant, according to a widely accepted estimate by the Pew Hispanic Center in Washington.

Immigration Quandary: A Mother Torn From Her Baby

This is from the operation wetback entry in wikipedia:

Tactics employed included going as far as systematic police sweeps of Mexican-American neighborhoods, and random stops and ID checks of "Mexican-looking" people in a region with many Native Americans and native Hispanics. In some cases, illegal immigrants were deported along with their American-born minor dependent children.

Don't see much difference between then and now except in the numbers.

The difference between then and now is our government. Our government today is too busy concerning themselves with corporate and foreign interests. They could care less about our country,or us. They're a bunch of bleeding heart idiots worried only about this globalization crap. Back in the day they did what needed to be done in the best interests of this country and it's citizens. Now they worry too much about what other nations think of our actions in our own country. I never thought I'd see the day that the president of another country would be allowed to address our congress and badmouth one of our states, and receive a standing ovation on top of it

When I saw that it made me think that our country is dead and buried

IMHO children born here of illegal immigrants are not entitled to automatic citizenship, which is why we need to repeal, or amend the 14th amendment.

all benefits the family receive are first paid into a bank account and therefore can be with drawn from any country..
all health care for the family will be free because they have an anchor to the UK free health care so that they will get it paid for them out of the UK heath care budget...
i know of poles who are on job seekers benefits and have returned back to Poland and its still being paid to them.....
its crazy

First of all, Fatdad - Poles are in the UK LEGALLY. They have EVERY right to be there. The Poles work hard, are well behaved and don't complain!

There are many people that come here with the intent to take advantage and use our law to get their foot in the door by having their child born here so the child will be an American citizen

And guess what, that child can do absolutely NOTHING to keep mum and dad in the US until they reach the age of 21. I know this from personal experience, as I waited many years for my American born, armed force serving, brothers to reach the age of 21.

By the time they reached 21 and were legally able to sponser me for citizenship, I could smell which way the country I loved and grew up in was going, and decided I'd make my stand elsewhere.

In the meantime my ANCHOR BABY brothers are proudly serving to protect your right to cry out for their expulsion.

Hi Merigold, I think you and I have had this conversation before about your brothers and you, they being your sponsor for a visa.

I don't understand why you didn't go the same route your bothers did and join the military.
Why havent you been able to get another person to sponsor you or employer how about higher learning?
Just asking, you don't have to say. I don't know you from Adam or Eve.
