Everyone's talking about who to blame for the gulf disaster - Where's the push for alt. energy?

There are countless examples on this website of technology that would do away with our need for oil.

There's no possible way that you can deny the stuff exists, the information is all over the place.

There are countless videos on here of "UFO"s that CAN NOT be powered by petrol, and countless more reported sightings. Are people throwing in the towel and saying that ALL of those cases/videos were space aliens with tech we can't comprehend, or that they're all just completely fake?

There's no way people can deny that this technology exists or that it'd be better than the oil we're tied to if they actually look at some of the evidence, and it doesn't matter where it originated - it's here, and we aren't being allowed to use it.

Why aren't people pushing for this? Why aren't the ufo crowds freaking out and pushing harder for disclosure now that such a poignant example of why we need it is being shoved in our faces all day every day?

NOW is the time to talk to people and show them that this technology is out there, now that they can see how harmful the oil industry is just by turning on the tv or radio.

I'm going to be pretty pissed if the biggest "new thing" to come from this whole fiasco is obama's damned carbon tax scheme...

You are posting sane solutions, but unfortunately , no one is going to persuade the Rich who make money for Jam , to give up the flow of loot into their bank vaults.
If wind power and solar becomes commonplace we will be handing over effectively the wind and the sun into the present oil producers hands, because they will buy the companies and charge us ever increasing prices.
Electric cars are now 100% feasible ,so oil is slowly becoming redundant(a fossil) but the oil companies would start a world war to make loot, rather than voluntarily give up their cash cow.
Only the peasants worry about oil spils all the gnashing is for the peasants.
BP and its execs probably get to meet obama regularly?

The government's definitely not telling me everything they know about E.T's alternative energy, or UFO's in general. As far as space travel goes nuclear engines are so far what we know to be best. But as far as E.T. tech goes, they could have anything under the sun!

It would be nice to come up with alternative ways to propel our
vehicles down the road. We already have battery powered cars.
We have solar power, wind energy. All of this is used to produce
electricity. Just how do you think we can live without the use of
oil? Don't you realize that there are literally millions of products that
we use daily that are petroleum based? I would venture to say that
90% of our products that we use daily, come from oil. What do you
suppose could be used to produce those items? I hear people squawk
all the time about alternative energy, and that is fine. But what is going
to be used for all the rest? Nothing but oil. And that has to be drilled
out of the ground.
