Im not sure what forum to post this in so feel free to move wherever.

I was talking with a few friends about how America is today. The talk "average joe's" came up and we started thinking....is there really an average joe anymore? It kind of looks like there's not the "average" American anymore.

We were talking and came up with a few new "joe's of today" I guess is the best way to say it.

1. The joe that believes everything the goverment/news corps(cnn, fox, ect) says and does without making their own personal decisions. They let the goverment decide for them.
2. The joe that believes the same as # 1, but thinks for himself and agrees with the goverment/news corps.
3. The joe that dosent care. Watches American Idol 24/7. Oblivious to world events.
4. The joe that thinks for themself and makes their own decisons - dosent let goverment/news corps make decisions for them.
5. The joe that is in-between/waking up - dosent know what to believe yet, but is attempting.

Thats basically what me and my friends came up with. What are yalls thoughts on this?

Well I think your jsut talking about the middle class which would be true, but if America is to be destroyed the aggressor must target the upper class so I plan on being broke for at least the next few years. Lucky for me Im used to it.

Yes, we were talking about the middle class. I usually say average joe, instead of middle class. Both terms refer to the same in this subject. It may just be me opening my mind more than before, but I still think there is some seperation going on for the middle class.

Definitely, but the middle class is a crack in the armor of the upper class and we are all divided because not all of us are baby boomers, alot of younger people today have worked hard for most of their life and have nothing to show for it, thats where this whole socialist agenda fits in.

I think alot of the middle class needs to start making their own decisions and not let goverment/media make the decisions for them (# 1 on the OP). Alot need to wake up and stop watching American Idol and all that stuff on the TV (# 3). The middle class is the largest class in America at the moment I think, but more and more are falling down. The middle class is kind of like the last defence against the downfall of America. Im not sure what the future will look like, but we need to atleast attempt to make it a good future.

I think you have a good general idea here. I personally see myself as a 5 on your list right now.
