The Iranian Bushehr nuclear power plant under construction by Russian engineers will be launched in August, Prime Minister Putin has
announced.
Russia took over the half-constructed plant in 1995, but the project was postponed several times for various reasons. The construction was
finished by spring 2009, and now the plant is undergoing a pre-launch test.
The scheduled launch will not be harmed by new sanctions against Iran, which the UN Security Council is soon to consider.
I wonder what the US goverment is going to think about this. August is only a couple months away, so we will see soon. The plant construction began in
1975, but has been delayed over and over again.
