Do you have a link to that revision?

I like it when they give a nice short timescale so that we don't get bored waiting to prove them wrong?

They shouldn't be spouting this cr*p anyway unless the're pretty sure they're gonna deliver! They must think that we're pretty dumb or have the retention span of a goldfish to swallow this revision.

The question is, how insane are we, really?

We'll get the same sh*t, as always, over and over again.

... and the people will take it, up the a**, as they have for decades.

I wondered how it is that people could have such a lack in critical thinking skills.

My father was once an intelligent guy, but now... it's a thing of the past.

I came to realize that when you fill your subconscious with so many contradictions from interacting with a society that get's most of it's information the usual dis-info sources . . . it's only a matter of time before it rots your mind.

I was a bright kid. Kept to myself. Then I reached puberty and started hanging out with stupid people. I became dull. So I went back in my shell, and did my own homework. I deprogrammed. Now when I go back into society and interact, people think I'm some sort of genius.

Insane.

How can they not see ?!?

The proof will be in the pudding, they cannot hide the oil still being spilled into the ocean, I hope this is true.

I'm not one for soccer either but here in the UK it's pretty much all you get to hear about just now...

"BTW, there's an oil spill somewhere...."

Sorry...I misremembered...it was 90% containment within a week and was mentioned as a discussion between BP/Obama on Hardball with Chris Matthews on or about June 16.

They shouldn't, I agree, but must feel somehow compelled to do it as at the very least a psychological ploy. And yes they do think we're pretty dumb,

We're not insane. We've been conditioned to get our information (or misinformation might be the better word) in micro bursts now, and they rely on us to misremember (like i did) or just remember "oh that must be fixed by now" or never bother to follow up. Cases in point...the VT mass killings...what does anyone remember about those other than the initial mass information overload. ALL the facts about the investigations could have changed by now, but in most minds it's that initial onslaught of (mis)information that sticks.

How many times have you found yourself involved in a conversation where people think something is over and done with when that couldn't be further from the truth. Or at least they begin to treat it as over and done with...i.e. the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Just a little clarification and that is BayNews9 is from Tampa not Panama city. Just thought I would help clarify that for you. They are a real good source for news around the west coast of Fla.They are one of the only all news channels around. They are 24 hour news channel in a local market, and you don't see many those out there.

We're nearly a week beyond the 90% containment comment that you mentioned and it's still not looking anything like contained as far as i can see!

This makes it pretty difficult to believe anything that these guys are saying on the MSM.

Thank god for places like ATS where we can actually get the real and (mostly) correct news!

Yes, we are. Let's see if they give us any new estimates. I doubt they will be doing that anytime soon.

I think we're into or rapidly approaching the "hush up about this and they'll start to forget about it stage" of the news cycle.

I totally agree!!

It's insane when that happens. In the UK, the story is already much lower profile than it was a week ago and it didn't even get a mention on the news i watched before work this morning.

W've got budget distractions today so i'm sure this will help focus the attention elsewhere for the next couple of days and after that we'll hear less and less until it's not mentioned again.
