I to, realize this, and I agree with you 100% OP. That's why I steer from posting in the threads.

I understand what must be done, and to do it it requires patience, and the drive to know what it is you're looking for.

Start off by just looking for it, and by it, I mean what makes you happy. I've recently found some interesting things within me, and, as you said, the other night I walked out and stared at the stars -- and literally laughed with them at how insignificant this all is compared to the big picture.

To put it into perspective, as much as TPTB control this world, they control NOTHING above this world, so how much power do they really have???? As much as we'd like them to have.

Wake up, and resist the temptations of evil, and negativity, and project positivity into yourself and others, and walk with a smile.

You can walk into a room filled with darkness, and a little bit of light will send that darkness fleeing.

You can't do the opposite, you can't walk into a room filled with light with ANY amount of darkness, and expect the light to flee.

The trick is to not hide behind a manufactured smile. It's wise to keep this in perspective.

Its great your trying to be more positive. Make sure you bring that around with you in your daily life.

As for ATS, you may be confused as to what this site is. This is a conspiracy site.

It can often be heavy reading and quite dark. Overall though its one big great debate.

There is lots of happy, happy sites out there. This is not one. This more often than not will deal with the darker side of our exsistance. I am guessing thats what attracts me. Thats how some people would view certain stories but you can always find some positivity if you really need to.

Do not despair though I am always trying to shake up my chakra's, open my third eye and meditate under waterfalls of light energy. When I do this everyday its much easier to come on here and face some harsher facts of life. So go and find some happy sites, fill yourself up on light and love and don't worry bout the stories you find here.

Remember light and dark are just differet degrees of the same thing. Try watching the darkness push the last bit of light out of the evening sky. Get up early and watch the light penetrate the darkness in a morning sky. This is more important to witness than some bickering match on here.

Ok, let me start by saying that I agree with you. Although people on ATS feel that they are more informed than the average evening news watcher, we are all subject to the power of the MSM machine.

After all, if you post a story on here without a source of reference its usually not taken seriously. The problem here lies in that the sources are almost always MSM. In essence, we are no more informed with FACTS than any Joe Blow who frequents CNN.com or its counterparts.

Sure, we all tend to speculate and "see" more in these current events than most would. But, that only leads me to my next problem with the views of the OP. You sound as if you're fed up with anything going on in this world that does not happen to fit in to your idea of pleasant .

I truly do understand your stance, and the human mind does need some optimism from time to time, but lets be honest with each other... This is a CONSPIRACY site!! How many conspiracies has anyone ever heard of that are of a more "positive" nature? None spring to my mind.

Lets face it, we are living in scary times. This past year has shown us many "scary" and "frightening" prospects for whats to come, as most ATS'ers will agree the events that continue to unfold before us are increasing in frequency and severity. This is why ignorance is BLISS...

If you dont like to hear about these topics of conversation, I suggest you either stick to BTS for more light hearted fare, or just do what the rest of the world does and spend your free time posting stupid pictures on facebook or watch YOUTUBE for a drugged out child making a fool of himself after his trip to the dentist. Hilarity will ensue, and you will be far far away from the so called "negativity" that the enlightened ones face everday.

Yes, the real world is a scary place. Dealing with it is just part of maturing into an adult. Children have no clue what goes on in this world, thats why they can play video games and barbies with a clean conscience while the world slowly implodes on itself.

I think you said it best with the BE happy and Love life, because I think that is the hardest and most abstract thing for people to grasp; yet it's my opinion that's the whole point of this existence is accepting the others as part of yourself and love them as you would yourself. Nice post and it's good to know that there are poeple out there making the conscious effort like me...

I've started several threads on Seasteading, the Free State Project, and the Campaign for Liberty. They get a little interest but rarely a whole page worth of comments. People WANT to focus on the negative and it is disappointing. The top topic on ATS be the Free State Project hands down. They are actually making real positive steps towards a more free place to live (or at the very least keeping the state of NH from becoming more socialist/fascist).

Being AWARE of what is going on and making an effort to focus on the possible POSITIVE outcome is the important point here.

From giving "them" energy to taking it away from "them".

Exactly what they want you to do IS focus on negativity AND/OR focus on ignorance, "if it doesn't exist in my mind, it's not real" mentality.

IMHO there is only a grey area between the two, not focusing/obsessing about the good or the bad but acknowledge both and make a ballanced opinion based upon this.

Both extremes are a form of ignorance.

The way to DENY ignorance is to stay between the two, this way you stay neutral and unbiased about the data.

Both Optimism and Pesimism are dangerous.

I find ATS educational at times. There are things that I vaguely knew about before but never really dug around in to really educate myself. I've been spending more time learning about the history of the middle east and how it got to the state it is in today thanks to ATS ranting about it. I'm glad that I am learning even if it is about negative things. Just because news/debate is about something negative doesn't mean that it's not important to know.

OP wants to look more enlightened than everyone else which is how he knows what the "machine" is doing and why. He outsmarted the machine. I vote OP for president. Star n flag.

Actually I think the reason a lot of negative things get attention around here is a natural reaction to the super gloss over, pour sugar over poop, talk about things that don't really matter to distract you media, and that's inbetween a bunch of mind numbing tv shows. I mean...who really gives a flying *beep* about who tiger woods made sweet love to. I'd rather read some thread on ATS than listen to that, negativity n all.

I understand the need to look at things positively, but in doing so if you ignore the negativity around you, you are ultimately useless in the fight against this.

What people fail to understand is that the acknowledgement of bad/negative things in the world should cause people to try and reverse it -- hence turning it into something positive.

This is not a site where we sit around and complain.
Rather, it is a site where we discuss, analyze, and try to right the wrongs, or at least come up with ways to do it, which starts with making people aware that they don't live in the happy little fishbowl so many are comfortable swimming in!

Are starving children a positive thing?
Are wars a positive thing?
Are corrupt governments a positive thing?

Of course not. But, I'm sorry. Merely willing them to be positive is not going to feed the kids nor cause armies to throw down their weapons.

Rather, that can be done with knowledge -- knowledge that often times they are not fighting the enemy they think. Knowledge that there are innocent children wrapped up in this adult world of chaos and fighting.

There is no greater sin, or negative act, than merely pretending these things do not exist and skipping down the road whistling "Life is good."
