An explosion occurred while an election rally was underway in which Italian Deputy Prime Minister Gianfranco Fini was attending in the city of
Bologna. There were no casualties reported, six people were injured and Fini was not hurt by the blast.

A small explosion injured six people on Tuesday evening in the north-central city of Bologna, the Ansa news agency reported.
The explosion occurred during an election rally for the EU parliament attended by Italian Deputy Prime Minister Gianfranco Fini.
The explosion device was placed under an electoral campaign vehicle several meters from a platform where Fini was addressing acrowd for this
weekend's European polls in Bologna's main square of Piazza Maggiore, local media reported.
