Thought i would start a thread on fav guitar solo's. Looking forward to hearing some of your choices

The one that stands out for me that i can think of is 'Stairway To Heaven' by Led Zeppelin

Hrm, its a toss up for me between Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here and Comfortably Numb. I could also probably count many other solos that I dig on, but those two are the top of the list.

almost everything by hendrix... maybe the one in red house relly stands out.
claptons solo in badge is also amazing.

Hendrix always will be a legend, but the guitar solo in Money for Nothing by Dire Straits always stands out to me, dunno why makes me smile though
