I get disappointed every time I realize that, no matter how 'awakened' most people are becoming they still view things with a cold war mentality, them against us, and when I see how deeply ingrained the belief that there are organized powers or countries who will stand for humanity against evil...

For crying out load wake the hell up! Turkey this, Turkey that... Nothing but smoke-screens!

Let me state it clearly for the record: if Turkey does intervene to escort the ships, then it is still part of the wider plan to destabilize the region and bring about a carefully planned middle-eastern nuclear conflict - and Turkey's leadership is involved as well.

Everyone has the same marching orders and yet they keep feeding us an imaginary antithesis to Satanism and we keep stupidly hoping that this time this time things will be different, this time [insert whatever the hell gives you hope] ...

Change we can believe in anyone? After Bush it seemed to most that we really did have hope, less the wise and well informed. Why then do the wise and well-informed keep shrinking with each new script?

Useless posturing and empty words, all of it. Give Erdogan an award for his fantastic display of false outrage and lets move on shall we....

As for Iran doing so... I don't think I need to comment.

If they mean it, why are they objecting to allowing the ships to be searched? They have nothing to hide, correct?

You suppose Iran's goals have also changed? Suddenly out of thin air?

I'm not buying it. This is a campaign to turn more of the world against Israel to further their real goal in my opinion.

Instead of this attempt to create propaganda against Israel, why don't they agree to letting the UN search all ships going into Gaza? That would be a move towards a believable peace solution.

Don't get me wrong here. Israel has its issues for sure. But I simply can not blame them for this blockade. One need only imagine a neighbor lobbing 4,000 missiles at any other countries civilians to see the hippocracy and proof that Anti-Semitism is in play here.

If the Kurds were to lob missiles at Turkish civilians, what do you suppose Turkeys response would be? Would the worlds response be the same?

If Hamas is for real and not just engaging in a propaganda campaign, let them prove it. If they disarm and stop the attacks you get peace and I think everyone knows that.

Lets not pretend the Palestinians are innocent little angels here either. Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and nobody else is opening their borders to them. There is a reason for that. They don't want a radical Muslim State in that location any more than Israel does. What do you think an Iran backed Palestine would be like? Equal rights for all and free passes to Disneyland?

My heart will always go out to the innocents in all of this. Most of the Palestinians and the people of Iran trapped in that Dictatorship with the phony elections. In the end though, it won't be fixed until they themselves stand up to these radicals who control them.

These nuts on the so called aid ships are making things worse. Much worse. But then I believe that is their goal. The leaders of that mess should be held accountable for those deaths. They were the direct cause of those deaths. No intelligent person is being fooled here. The only ones who are, are doing it because they hate Jews.

I had to stop for a moment. A vision of Helen Thomas standing on the bow of a ship in the classic Captains pose with a spyglass just went through my head.

Israel's no-compromise attitude to aid convoys could be tested again after two Lebanese organisations pledged to send boats to Gaza in the next few days. Reporters Without Borders is attempting to assemble 25 European activists and 50 journalists for a boat leaving Beirut. The Free Palestine Movement is planning a similar attempt.

George Galloway, the founder of Viva Palestina, announced in London that two simultaneous convoys "one by land via Egypt and the other by sea" would set out in September to break the Gaza blockade. The sea convoy of up to 60 ships will travel around the Mediterranean gathering ships, cargo and volunteers.

The title is misleading. IRGC is not part of the Iranian Army, it is like saying that Hizbollah is part of the Lebanon Army…

They are an independent organization…..

IRGC and Iranian Military may co-op inside the Iranian borders but their agendas, missions, goals are different when it comes outside the border.. I wonder which ports they’ll use for their (sneak in and out missions)… Egypt and Cyprus are out of the question, Syria, Lebanon and Turkey can’t be their host (for obvious reason).

This is a tough one Larry L. There is no easy solution here. One thing is for sure, there is one heck of a propaganda campaign taking place here.

I wonder how many innocent Palestinians would run if they could? I just happen to be friends with a family that did. They go back once a year to visit family but tell me that the people are crazy over there and they have no intention of ever returning to that mess. Ironically, they don't hate the Jews nor do they blame them for protecting themselves. Not all Palestinians are in line with Hamas.

I think Obama's attitude is what is leading to this insane attempt to break this blockade. It inspired them to conduct this propaganda campaign now. They smell weakness.

You got to hand it the the iranians they are learning fast how to play the world game offering support for the world issues e.g. gulf oil spill and now escorting an aid convoy to gaza
Isnt it amazing how the tables have turnt...Iran being the big bad monster of the mid east and isreal playing the victim, now its the other way around Isreal seen by the eyes of the world a terrrorist country and iran helpful and civil so it appears

Great observation I'm sure you hit the nail on the head.

We are living in a sea of propaganda and unreasonable people.

2 cargo ships will departure from Iran to Gaza with Revolutionary Guards Navy escorts before end of this week, so any single mistake near GAZA may it’ll create major conflict between both. so lets pray nothing happen...!!!

Hmm.. Thus far. Points to members of the first convoy , Ireland (good show with the Rachel Corrie and protest at isreali embassy) U.K (protest at isreali embassy) , Sweden (boycott of isreal) S. Africa (expelling isreali ambassador), Turkey (ship in first convoy , offering to escort future convoys) Iran (offer to escort convoy..)

On the other side ..
u.s (no point for being stupid as usual and failing to do the right thing) Isreal (1 point for allowing Rachel Corrie to complete the mission she was on)
Total : for nations doing the right thing

I read earlier the iranians said they are on stand by to go however they need premission from the highest authority in iran for the ships to depart for gaza

I really, really can't see Iran sending cargo ships with Iranian Navy Escorts through the Suez Canal straight to Gaza.

It just simply won't be allowed to happen.

I just hope Iran aren't serious about doing this because I can't see Israel letting that lot land at Gaza with no questions being asked etc.!

Hamas is a democratic government of Gaza and resistance fighters. If there would be no Hamas, Israel would easily bulldoze Gaza and take away all the land and carry out their extermination easily.
