Policeman pleads guilty to alien smuggling!

A New Mexico policeman pleaded guilty Friday to a federal alien smuggling charge for trying to bring a woman into the United States through the San Ysidro Port of Entry.

Ronald Haley, a 41-year-old member of the Bosque Farms, N.M., Police Department south of Albuquerque, presented U.S. Customs agents with a border- crossing card that belonged to the sister of his companion on March 26, authorities said.

Just shows how corrupt the law is. He showed the border agents a border- crossing card that belonged to the sister of his companion.

I wonder if anymore illegals have been smuggled in?
Seems like an easy way to get across the border.
His Sentencing was set for Sept. 3.

What do you think ATS?

here's an article with a little more detail:
Clovis News Journal

and a blog that appears to already be prejudiced in opinion against Officer Haley:
New Mexico Security Blog

when you say "how corrupt the law is," i'm not quite sure what you mean.
the law as in the peace officers?
or the law as in the laws that are the source of the charges against the officer?
or the law as in the general law enforcement entity, itself?

Well that was a bit confusing but i think they need to somehow make sure the police are not being corrupt to balance it out.

They get more authority than normal citizens and many do abuse there power..
