Ankara. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan plans to visit the Gaza Strip to break the blockade imposed by Israel, Lebanese Al Mustaqbal newspaper writes, citing well-informed sources.
According to the news report Erdogan has notified the U.S. administration of his plans. He said he would ask Turkish military ships to escort the humanitarian convoy to Gaza. The U.S. authorities advised the Turkish prime minister to postpone his plans for now, the Lebanese newspaper writes.

I think you will find (should you care to look it up) that the blockade against Gaza is an Isreali / Egyptian initiative.
The Israeli / Egyptian goal is to prevent the supply of arms to Hamas which is a terrorist organisation in the eyes of most Western nations (the EU and the US).
Apart from firing 4,000 rockets into Israel,
The tragedy is that the population of Gaza are suffering because of the conflict between Hamas and Israel.

The Israeli / Egyptian goal is to prevent the supply of arms to Hamas which is a terrorist organisation in the eyes of most Western nations (the EU and the US). Apart from firing 4,000 rockets into Israel, Hamas also like to use suicide bombers and calls for the destruction of Israel - they are not exactly a nice bunch of peace loving, tree huggers, so let's not treat them as such.
