While I would love it if an intelligent if primative group of aliens were on the surface of titan, I must stress that microbial life does "breathe". All living things respire in some form or another, and microbes are no different. Breathing is not unique to complex lifeforms.,

Its also worth noting that the only reason we (and other complex life) are here, is because of ancient photosynthetic bacteria liberated free oxygen from the CO2 in our atmosphere... We begin to see the fossil evidence of such bacteria around 3.7 billion years ago. For the first few billion years of earth history, all we had were these cyanobacteria colonies, which used sunlight to split CO2, releasing free oxygen (free oxygen was poisonous to them, and unwanted). This was a requirement in order to transform our deadly (to animals) atmosphere into an oxygen rich one. These Earth microbes totally transformed our atmosphere. It was only around 700 million years ago, when enough free oxygen had been liberated that we see complex life appear in the fossil record. So really, we might come to expect microbial extraterrestrial life to be very much more common... After all, thats all we had for most of Earth's history.

Interestingly enough, Such colonies of bacteria are something that the martian rovers are actively searching for, and have been. On Earth, the activities of these colonies left behind sedimentary structures called stromatolites, which are visible to the naked eye (and hopefully rover camera).

Yes, In my opinion intelligent life forms exist on one of Saturn's moons,

Titan. One of the first photos that I saw from the probe was that there

were perfectly designed Oceanic shipping ports, a modern looking

lighthouse and advanced designed structures on land. I can not find

that particular photo anymore that was originally presented. ^Y^

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. Its a shame you never saved what would have been the most important photo in the history of mankind, and now invite us to take your word for it.

Actually, the life and our solar system is full of life. It will just take to figure out. Titan, Mars, Phobos, our Moon... If there isn't intelligent life there right now, there either once was or is at the moment, but in a higher dimension.

You are correct it was dumb of me not saving the photo but when I

went back into the site after many hours of scanning visually the Titan

photo over many days it was changed and was not the same photo

that was originally posted. ^Y^

Contrary to popular belief add to the list the Planets Mercury and Venus

plus the Moons Europa and Triton in our Solar System that life once

existed and still does till this day.

One of most staggering photos ever taken from the planet Mercury

was from the satellite Mariner 10. I was privileged to see a photo

from the Mariner 10 mission as it approached Mercury and I was

thrown back at what I saw. The photo was of an enormous perfect

statue that is the head of a deer and part humanoid looking

being. I estimate the statue to be at least a mile high and other

magnificent statues exist on the surface of Mercury also. ^Y^

Two pictures, one of Titan showing structures and one of Mercury with a mile high statue?
Where did you see these photos? Were they released to the public? If not, how did you come to see them?

as i have just posted on the same thread as this.

i have heard of titan being able to support life before this came about.
my friend, Dr. Slim, made a thread saying that if we were to put artifcial life on other planets or moons, titan would be a contender.
check his thread out.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

i also think that there could be microbes up there, but its not exactly "new" news, just because nasa said it doesnt mean there should be an influx of threads on it, they just confirmed what is already known.

and the OP of this thread actually posted on one of the exact same threads as this, then created his a few hours later? yeah, nice one genius.

(i also see this has turned into a "who can cook the best alien microbe" competition.)

Personally i'd love to grill an alien and eat one with some hot sauce. I hope they visit one day because we could use another food source. Im tired of the same ole chicken and pork and beef and fish. Some deep fried alien leg sounds freakin tasty!! Especially those grey looking ones.

Hi Pauligirl, I will U2U where the photo of Titan from the Casini-

Huggins Probe was originally posted. I will send everyone on this

thread an ESA link that shows the shoreline, but does not even come

close to the detail of the photo that I had seen approximately 5 and

half years ago. ^Y^

The photo that I had seen of the Planet Mercury's surface from the

Mariner 10 mission was presented by an individual who is an award

winning science writer and attended Cambridge. ^Y^

Thanks for the information, but I don't understand why you just didn't post it here. I have to say that source of the Titan photo is at best questionable. It could have very easily been photo-shopped, or not even a picture of Titan. I'm afraid the same may hold true for the Mercury photo.

But, I haven't seen either one so......

Your thread title is misleading at best.

Key word in the article is "Could"

could

could

could

...you should fix that.

Dense atmosphere... low gravity...
my guess is giant flying whales. Hey anything is possible

Thats great we are slowy moving in the right direction.
Its goes maybe life... possibly life... likely life... dead form of simple life form billions of years old... simple life form FOUND... rudementry small ceatures... BOOM sentient life.

I recall that very distinctly

Oh crap.

yay?

BTW. This just further confirms the unlikeliness of human-looking intelligences out there.
