Sarah Palin Blames Environmentalists For Oil Spill

That’s right you tree-hugging, lettuce munching environmentalists, the 15,000 barrels of oil sputzing into the Gulf of Mexico every day is your fault!

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah (“Drill, Baby, Drill!”) Palin apparently knows what it takes to solve our nation’s energy problems, and on her Facebook page she’s making it clear that “radical environmentalists” are the ones who are really causing this catastrophe a mile under the sea.

“Extreme deep water drilling is not the preferred choice to meet our country’s energy needs, but your protests and lawsuits and lies about onshore and shallow water drilling have locked up safer areas. It’s catching up with you. The tragic, unprecedented deep water Gulf oil spill proves it.”

Palin insists that those those darned hippy environmentalists are the ones influencing public policy enough to keep oil drilling away from “safe” places like the Alaska Natural Wildlife Reserve that would finally break America from its dependence on foreign oil.

I can see how many reasonable people disagree with Obama. I do not think it is fair to call Obama an idiot. Obama is an Ivy-league educated man. Obama does not think he can see England by looking out the window of the Whitehouse. Obama did not stare at a bottle of orange juice for 30 minutes because it said "concentrate."

Anyone saying she is an idiot is just a loony liberal scared of her political and intellectual greatness!...yes that was sarcasm, i actually heard someone on ATS say people dislike her because they are scared. Anyway, the woman is an idiot and it says a lot about American politics when this woman is sadly liked by a large amount of people, it's nothing short of embarrassing actually. The oil spill was caused because BP didn't take the safety precautions necessary.

Sarah Palin actually does scare me. If you think the country got messed up after 8 years of George W. Bush, western civilization as we know it will come to an end if Palin is ever in charge.

Here's one that thinks Sarah Palin is right on. It amazes me that every one of the preceding posts bashed Sarah. My hero! No not kidding. She is exactly right about the oil we have that we can't touch and let BP and Russia drill in the gulf....Makes real sense to me(To let other countries drill and us not)

Can't drill in ANWR, a desolate wasteland, but you can drill in mile deep waters, where if you have an accident you can do nothing to stop it.

a true environmentalist doesn't want there to be offshore drilling, or drilling of any sort. I believe they desire an end to drilling. Perhaps finally moving past oil all together, and tapping in to natural, sustainable, and safe resource.

Palin is using "environmentalist" to paint all those against drilling. To me this echos the Republicans calling all Liberals socialists. It's just a catch phrase that the intellectually challenged can rally around. A catch phrase that the opposition can use to discredit their competition.

Defending Palin is defending ignorance. Defending Palin is defending the media's ability to create a reality for the slow minded.
