Thanks both for reviving my thread.

It does seem, at least on some level, that expectations of outcomes can actually affect the outcome. I don't know how it works. I'll just leave it at that.

Quite so. This is what Quantum Mechanics is now trying to investigate (if you look for waves you will see waves..if you look for atoms you will see atoms).

However, Esoteric Science is thousands of years ahead on this. But the laws of the Occult are simply : to Know, to Dare and to be Silent.

I enjoy discussing this with you. We don't disagree with probability theory. All I am saying is that even probability theory will bend to a strong will. This thread is in fact about moving objects remotely. This seems absurd, but it can be done to a certain degree by some people as I mentioned earlier.

I am not trying to attack your arguements, its just that you are claiming things which are not proven. It would help if you brought forth hard evidence; its not that I do not want to believe you, only that you have to convience me...

Also, there is a "prize" available for the first person to prove/show such powers, I believe it is around $1 000 000.

You can't. You are either born with the ability or you are not.

Or... no person born with the ability has figured out how it works, and so nobody can learn.

It is the old argument of how long is a piece of string.

You will not accept any proof anyway. You will only move the goal post further.

If someone had the ability to make a number recur on the throws of a dice. That person should walk away with money if bets were placed. But with your insistence on seeing the laws of probability at work, you would probably insist that the individual carries on the experiment until all six numbers had more or less occured with same frequency. That would be the point when the experiments concludes for you. It would be your length of the piece of string. On the other hand the other guy's piece of string would be shorter since he had planned to impress his will at the beginning of the experiment and walk away with the money.

We are all faced with decisions and choices which change our lives. A business may well try and estimate its future income using probability theory or sampling theory but if the owner cannot use his power of persuasion to sell and get support from the bank he might as well forget it. The laws of chance are no good to us. We need to shape what is around us with our mind and will.

On the contrary, everything follows nature, which is just probability. Our decisions do not change the probability of a certain scenario from happening, we just choose the scenario, and all scenarios have their own statistical behaviour. At this stage of human evolution, we still are just starting to merely understand how our world works. If you take Young's experiments with the nature of light; we cannot predict where the light will "hit" after going through the slit. It just shows the "statistical behaviour" of nature. Therefore saying that we can shape our environment using our mind and will is wrong. Everything can be based on probability, its just that sometimes our statistical formulations are wrong because we do not include factors which we are not aware of.

Not my problem, that's up to you.
Beside, if they did, you would either go insane or your current mind set wouldn't able register it or to accept it....

Yeah sit in a cold dark room with your eyes closed. Repeat to yourself
"i love the light, the light loves me, the universe is love" - this is an exercise which will develop you pineal gland so you will be able to move things with your mind.
There are some supplements you can take that will speed this up. A cup of tap water with a table spoon of tooth paste has lots of flouride which will stimulate the pineal. You can also break open any of those old silver looking thermometers and use the liquid in them like hand lotion this will also speed up your pineal.

This guy is a ass hole... I tell it like it is...

such a 'prize' could be just a trap for those who stupid enough to take it...

Hah, no its just a incentive for being able to demonstrate supernatural abilities. Its also meant as a "bet" to prove that such phenomenas do not exist..

It is still stupid (in my opinion) to do such a thing.

If had the abilities and wanted money, what would make more sense? Use them to win the state lottery (or in a casino) over and over again wherever you go

OR

Prove some stuck up skeptic with a rigged up system to prove that teletubbies won't take over the world in 2015?

It is my belief that people with special powers, are chosen, for a reason.

The reason being, that they will only use those powers for GOOD.

So, if you believe, that you are pre-dispreposed for telekinesis, then you must work on your mind, to ensure that you would never use such powers for EVIL.

If you have even some thoughts, of using telekinesis for bad purposes, the power will likely not be given to you.

People, that can solve "cold murder" cases, are the most innocent and caring people on the planet. They are special, they use their powers not for personal gain, or the revenge of a harm done. Instead they use their powers altruistically, to help the common good.

This is not a coincidence, this is a fact of life.

If you could move objects, with the power of the mind, what good thing could result?

Things to think about.

personaly I think a ATS user advising another user to take/inoculate mercury (not talking about fluorid but that's another story) should be banned

Question you are asking very good it is.

No, seriously, I know what you're feeling. It is not as it has been written that you are either born with it or not. For reasons that you already know, you will not ask anything of me after I tell you the first step, which is as follows:

You must begin to refrain from defining it as "telekenesis".
True ability bears and bares not a name.
