This week there has been heated discussions between the U.S.A. and South Korea over the moving and removal of U.S. troops on duty in the contested border region between North and South Korea known as the "Demilitarized Zone" some see this as a provocative move. Others suspect that it could be a signal.....

The atmosphere is calm, but this heavily-armed border is at the center of discord between allies Seoul and Washington over plans to pull back U.S. troops and warnings from North Korea about escalating tensions.

At the truce village of Panmunjom, workmen on the North side casually inspected a building Wednesday. A stray dog wandered back and forth across the demarcation line dividing the opposing armies of North and South Korea.

U.S. soldiers here say things have been quiet lately.

Earlier this week, the United States and South Korea ended military talks in disagreement over plans to pull U.S. troops away from the North Korean border and consolidate them at expanded camps south of the capital, Seoul. The long-standing allies were also eyeing more negotiations over a separate U.S. plan to withdraw a third of the 37,000 American troops here by the end of next year.

First of all I have to wonder why the mainstream media felt the need to report that all is calm in the DMZ. But ok lets go with that and also ask this:

Could this be the calm before the storm?

It is quite possible that the North Korean leaders are seeing the U.S. action to remove troops from the border to points south as a signal...
