Both sides commit atrocities, but Israel at least for the most part tries to avoind civilian casualties, but the Palestinian terrorists love their people so much that they hide behind civilians...attack from or near schools, hospitals, milk factories etc, so that when Israel strikes back at those targets the Palestinian authorities, HAMAS, Hezbollah, and other terrorist organizations can point fingers and claim "Israel is exterminating us"....

You have no idea whatsoever of what you are talking about... The NAZIS went after every Jewish person they could find. Many were executed on sight, meanwhile others were marched into concentration camps, and put to death in showers that were set up for one purpose... to murder Jewish people...

No, it's true. There is a significant presence of colorblind people who see Palestinians as poor helpless people getting killed by some dark evil Israeli government. How is that any different than the bias of Earlier Europeans towards Israel and supporting them no matter what?

The open detention camp lives they lead? What about the fact that industry has never even been able to grow there because they lack even basic materials to start a real industry?

What about collective punishment by cutting off water to major districts or control of energy usage?

Well said. The nation of Israel has been under attack for over 50 years and there is no end in sight. A Palestinian state could be formed tomorrow if they would swear to peace and a recognition of ISrael as sovereign Jewish state.

So let me get this straight... you're comparing an Israeli military raid on aid ships to the sinking of a military vessel by another military vessel whose nations are still technically at war? Then you throw in some outdated communist refernces and top it all off by talking about a man who has been dead for years? That's a weak start, pal.

Let me begin by saying that I don't hate Israel as a people, nor as a country. It wasn't the country as a whole that ordered the convoy attacked, it was the government. If it's any group I deride in Israel it's the government.

Sure Hamas is exploiting the historical and religious tension between Jews and Muslims that has existed for well over 1,000 years, but the Israeli government is using this as an excuse for acting in an equally belligerent manner. For that reason, in my mind, the two groups are no better nor worse than each other.

Bottom line, Israel attacked a humanitarian aid convoy in an unjustified reactionary movement when there was no evidence to suggest there were weapons of any kind on those ships. This act is symptomatic of the violence that will continue until both groups wake up and understand that all human life has value.

Finally, I don't belive that I've once seen anyone on this site specifically state that they hate Israel. We're critical, but then again we're here to Deny Ignorance. Defending a nation that attacks aid convoys seems pretty ignorant to me.
