as much as I hate how our government conducts itself and all the corruption within it (drug war for example), you are really thinking of a pipe dream
to not have any at all.
I think you need to direct your energy into fixing the broken aspects of the government instead of abolishing the whole thing.
yea social security and medicare sucks to pay for all the time, specially when there are people gaming the system, but if there is a system there will
always be someone to cheat it. However at the same time, you could be in your mid twenties doing well for yourself feeling fully capable, then all of
a sudden you get seriously injured and cant work again the rest of your life? are you willing to be left for dead? I doubt it, you'll be begging to
get on the social security train.
roads, schools, and all other infrastructure, I really hope you dont complain about paying for these as we need them, I know you use them, and they
cost a LOT to maintain.
and do you REALLY think we could defend ourselves without an army? what a joke. This isnt revolutionary times anymore, troop counts really dont
matter. The only reason insurgents succeed is because we're civilized enough to let them basically. If china/ north korea/iran decided to conquer us,
do you really think theyd let citizens live long enough to form insurgent groups? No, they would just completely obliterate every city and all
citizens in the country, through nukes or artillery or whatever means they felt necessary.
so on that subject I would say a more reasonable solution would be for us to quit spending such rediculous amounts on the military, but at the same
time there are a bunch of crazy people in the world still who HATE us.
Also, like it or not, if there was no government, SOMEONE will take power, like gangs, oil companies, etc. Thats just the way it is, and if you think
the gov is bad just imagine how much worse it would be with a cartel or major company ruling everyone with an iron fist forcing you into slavery.
so become a lawyer, join respective political groups that have the same ideals as you, go to rallys, protest, call your representatives and push to
have the bad laws/workers/agencies/programs removed.
In other words, you do have the power to try and fix the system into something respectable , not remove it completely.
