Military helicopter uses public park to practice organ transfer

A MILITARY helicopter is believed to have caused thousands of pounds of damage when it attempted to land in an urban park.

The RAF Chinook was on a special training mission when it tried to land on the Southwark Park sports pitch.

This article caught my eye and, to me, it really seems weird and i would like to hear other peoples views on this.
Surely they would practice this sort of thing elsewhere, and also why use military helicopters?
Does this happen anywhere else because i haven't heard of it before so i welcome all information given.
