Yeah lets supply al-queda with an A-bomb and see how US and Israel like it??? What kind of a twisted logic is that????

Erdogan and his AKP government is due for a removal during the next elections in Turkey. New government will not be an arab lover one for sure..

Mossad is indeed a very active service in the mideast, they are responsible for many many things....

And...no...Turkey-Israel war is no more than a wet dream for you war mongerers...problem is with the AKP government of Turkey not the people....so you'll have to wait another 100 years for Israel-Turkey-US war...cause it won't happen...none of those 3 countries are stupid enough to confront each other.

I think if this caused people to call for a draft in America you would see large groups of people for the first time openly refusing to serve. Not like draft dodgers during Vietnam or WWII, I think today people would speak out and be supported.

Failure comparison. Let me get this straight - Kurds do not equal PKK terrorists. If you want to help East Turkey's industry, you're more than welcome. Oh wait, the PKK won't allow you to do so.

I wish I could agree with you that the chances for war are low, but I think Israel is capable of "insanity" in this situation for fear of losing their state. I am also afraid if the Middle East goes to war, North Korea may decide it's a good time for them to attack South Korea.

USA would have to be careful who to side with unless Turkey attack first...

If Turkey attacks first USA could side with israel.. if Israel attacked first then Israel has to face the wrath of all of NATO.

Israel will alter reality to say they were attacked first, like they just did.

This whole damn incident is merely a move by Turkey to position itself as THE lead power in this volatile region. This was a provocative event partially sponsored by Turkey.

Three of the six vessels in this convoy flew Turkish flags and they fully knew what would result from this deliberate encounter.

Why else would an Al Jazeera film crew be present on the lead vessel?

Why were these innocent peace activists armed with metal bars, clubs, sling shots, night vision goggles, knives, rifles, and ballistic vests?

The first crews to descend on the ropes were armed with paint ball guns and were greeted by a well armed welcoming committee.

Now, back to Turkey, an Islamist led country. A country that wants its former Empire BACK!

Don't ever think that Turkey is on our side. They want nothing more than to provoke a military incident that will position them at the top of the podium in the region. The current ruling power, AKP, in Turkey is struggling to maintain its foothold and this incident may just give them what they need.

Just read a little about the AKP's rise to power over the last 7 years and how they weaseled their way into the EU. Now that they are in, the AKP is returning to its core values.

Well, I've seen no credible reports that Turkey is even planning to send a naval escort with the next aid ships. I'm pretty sure that if Erdogan really had mentioned a possibility of war, it would be all over MSM too.
Its obvious that the man is really angry, & rightfully so imo, but the real power in Turkey lies with the military. If we get rumblings from that direction, I'll take notice. In the meantime, I just hope this thread doesn't get hijacked by the usual derailing tactics (yes you, felonious).
As to the legality of the situation so far, Israel did have a right to enforce a blockade, even though the interception was in international waters. However, it is not illegal under international law to run a blockade... So no real help there then! There is the question of the legality of the blockade itself. According to the UN, it contravenes the Geneva Conventions & is illegal. Still, that was also the case with the Iraq invasion & it cut no ice then so I cant see much happening now (afterall Israel is already in violation of countless UN resolutions). I expect that if Turkey cited that as a reason to escort aid ships, it would only hold up as far as the 12 mile limit of what Israel claim as their territorial waters off Gaza, after which, Turkey would be seen as the aggressor, or at least, that is how the tale would be spun, so NATO would not be drawn in on Turkey's side.
Now Egypt have opened their border, any further attempts to run the blockade will be labelled as pure provocation, since there is an alternative, completely ignoring the legality of the blockade itself... Ho hum. As long as the USA will not allow the UN Security Council to impose sanctions on Israel, nothing will change except who is currently most angry with Israel.
As far as I know, the continued detention of the captured passengers & crew is illegal, but I'm not sure on the position regarding the ships. Does anybody else know what their legal status is?

So, when has Turkey become a member of the EU????.....

what you say about AKP is partially true..but remember Erdogan has great ties with jews....I am having deep feelings that things are much more complicated in this current israel-turkey relation, many games are being played on us right now....

PS: there is a Turkish journalist who is in the jail now for being e member of a so called"ergenekon" teror organization(which is a great lie), who made a deep research into Erdogans family tree, which led to jews....go figure...like I mentioned earlier "the game" or the "lie" is bigger than the game itself...puzzle is too big for us ordinary joes to see for now.

Sorry, I should have said attempting to weasel their way into the EU. Looks like there is still a couple of years to go. I was thinking back to 2005 or 2006 when Turkey was granted observer status.

Ahh..and couple of words about the current flotilla situation:

in my own opinion that ship shouldn't have gone to that location all from the beginning....we also have reports of the IHH(organizators) of not being all so innocent...they are known also to us to have ties with hamas...owners of the ship and organization gave speeches to some turkish newspapers claiming that they were going to gazze to become "sehid"(martyr)....go figure...both sides of the situation is responsible...if israel was to attack the ship, why wait for them to come to thier waters instead of international ones...this is the biggest question in this situation...why jump on a ship when you are sure that they will show resistance against you.....???...

Like I said many questions left unanswered in this situation....looks to me like a staged event....for whos advantage????....we'll wait and see I guess or never will...

Quite right. And good on them too. Can't think of a single reason why they'd want to join.

Turkey is ready to go in war with Israel, according to Erdogan

www.aysor.am

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has made it clear that Turkey is ready to go in war with Israel.

In his parliamentary address Erdogan accused Israel of a "bloody massacre” as he described Israel's raid on a flotilla, including a Turkish ship, carrying relief supplies to blockaded Gaza.

"We see clear murder taking place, and we see an aggressive country,” Erdogan said criticizing Israel and warning not to test his country’s patience. He said: “Turkey’s hostility was as strong as its friendship is valuable.”
(visit the link for the full news article)

So Turkey wants to now go to WAR with Israel over what, 8 people getting killed? I might be wrong but it wasn't far off that and they may not have all been from Turkey?

The Turkish Priminister has obviously lost his head like Little Kimmy over in NK!

The whole suggestion is absolutely absurd and quite ridiculous.

Turkey is part of Nato which the UK belong to and have the US on their side too so nothing would work, who would fight for who and stick up for / help who?

Go back to watching your belly dancers Mr Priminister and take a few chill pills because Israel is seriously one country you don't want to piss off. They will always stand up for themselves simply because they are fed up with being picked on and they just want a quiet peaceful life.

Unfortunately your country has now joined all the other Muppets in the region like Syria and Gaza, you fool!!!

If Israel is cornered, they WILL use Nukes and I don't blame them. Just leave them alone and tell the idiots on the boats that are trying to land in Gaza to get real otherwise expect trouble. Any other country would do the same as Israel and stand up for themselves.

That's a disgusting sensationalistic over exaggeration. Turkish PM never said anything like that. He only stated how their relationship is hurt.

People are making a bogey man out of Israel JUST like Iraq before the war. I see very same rhetoric going around. They should be condemned for killing 10 people, but I see many here hoping for nuclear apocalypse.

There is a geographical importance to Turkey.
This should not be overlooked.
This seems to be a solicitation for assistance, that has now allowed Turkey to become an even bigger player, although temporary, through conflict involvement.
www.abovetopsecret.com...
It's a slower game that's being played, and most of it gets missed by us as we run around trying to make our own little lives and problems better.
As someone said earlier in this thread, there's more going on than meets the eye.
It's all by design.
It's called being set up.

Chances of Turkey going to war with Israel are very low. The reason is that if Turkey launches a new conflict against Israel, Hezbollah would start raining rockets on Israel and Hamas might stir up some tensions on the west bank. IDF will have to deal with Turkey, Hamas,Hezbollah,Syria and even Iran simultaneously, thereby starting an all out regional war. If IDF finds itself in a difficult situation during the course of war, it might even use nuclear weapons. Erdogan's statements or rhetoric could be meant for domestic audience. Most probably, Turkey might go to the extent of snapping diplomatic relations with Israel.

Sounds plausible, but the one thing that's always overlooked with the nuke talk is the prevailing winds and the direction of fallout,
any use has to be insanity, it will draw such a backlash, the middle east would be a bowl of blood.
And all this because a man made ancient cave written sand and poop cover script claims one name of people to be gods favorite with some kind of special rights over others?
As children they should be made to go stand in the corner and not have any toys,
as neighbors no one would have them.
Terrible behavior.
