Tropical Storm headed for Gulf

I'm no weather expert but saw this and figured I'd pass it along for a heads up or discussion. Not sure which category it belongs in so I put it in gray area.

It's there, but it looks like it might take the lower path in the "spaghetti model" from the OP:

I've been watching this for a couple of days. This is the remnants of the storm that ravaged Guatemala last week.

It crossed over Central America and moved out into the Atlantic.
I almost posted something on this 2 days ago when it started out across water again.

This is a big area of interest for me ....the tropics.

Gonna watch this really closely. It is still really early for tropical storms to form but not unheard of. Especially since today is just the first day of hurricane season.

NOAA has no interest in this storm as of this post, there are no GOES weather satellites watching it directly.

The Floaters are the dedicated sats for tropical storms in this Link

Yeah...there wasn't the other day either. I thought that sort of strange but then again it wasn't "officially" storm season when I last looked at it.

Interesting that their is a storm already - I heard in my background CNN say something about a storm in this area but I wasn't able to pay close enough attention at the time. Will keep a watch on this one. Thanks fo the thread.

This must be it at the bottom of the screen - not sure which way it is heading but it looks significant for watching.
