(Reuters) - Egypt opened its border with the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, letting Palestinians cross until further notice amid a storm of international criticism of Israel's blockade of the enclave, officials in Egypt and Gaza said.

I think this is positive news in a bad situation. People need food and medical supplies. This might help defuse the situation.

Food, and Medical supplies are surely the intention, but this is a direct snub to Israel. Egypt has been very supportive, even closing and destroying the tunnel network, and now they openly defy Israels requests and open the border up entirely!

Turkey is now escorting aid to Israel as well, and this time they are doing it with armed patrol boats!

Israel has really opened a can of worms. I am sure Syria and Lebanon, and Iran are going to be joining all the newfound support for the Palestinians very shortly. It seems Israel has entirely isolated itself.

I wonder which way Obama will go? I honestly think he will side with Turkey, and I think Greece and Europe will follow him.

If that is the case, and this is Bible Prophecy unfolding, then I wonder who will be left standing alone with Israel? There should be one country standing with Israel against the world. If it isn't the US, then who will it be?

the world service asked the egyptain rep to the arab league in 2008 why it was condemning israel for the blockade when egypt was keeping the rafah border closed. mubarak only does anything to alleviate suffering of palestinians when west says he can. and question remains as to how the opening w...ill be policed/how long it will stay open

If anyone is starving in Gaza it is because supplies are being withheld internally. Thousands of Tons of supplies flood into the region on a weekly basis via Legal and controlled border access points. This flotilla of aid was unnecessary. It is becoming more apparent that this was an intentional ambush of sorts designed to escalate tensions in the region. This was a well funded and well organized mission against Israel and the current MSM outlets are playing it out perfectly.

Egypt is walking on a slippery slope here.

Terror links and financing.

Egypt didn't wait for Obama or the UN (OMG). This shows some backbone on their part.

The aid ships had things which Israel does not allow in to Gaza like building supplies for people to rebuild their homes, it had many other items that Israel will not allow as well, it's precisely the reason they refused to go through Israeli channels when bringing the supplies in, because they would not have allowed many mundane items that we take for granted in to gaza. None of which can be used to make bombs or rockets i might add...

Great Britain.

Then they help rebuild the Temple. This would usher in Prince William's reign as

Anti-Christ.

I agree entirely with your point on legitimate aid which has flooded Gaza from the UN and elsewhere, so where have the supplies gone? Not to Hamas surely, the saviour of the Palastinian people, they would never take the aid and sell it on the black market!! WOULD THEY???

Oddly possible.

Also Blair as head of the EU could have some significance.

My father has always believed it would be the world united against Israel in the end times, and that the United States would be the one lone country willing to stand beside them. Ties to the "lost tribe" and such.

I don't really believe in the end times prophecies as literal prophecy, more symbolic if you ask me, but with the state of the world today, it sure is easy to draw correlations! Maybe he was right all along? He has also hated Kissinger and the UN for his entire life. He was against the EU, he was even more against the Euro, and he has known about RFID technology since the 70's when it was still sci-fi to most.

Yes the more I think about it,the End prophecys sound more like a made up agenda, and for years everyone afraid of attacking Isreal because it's said that destruction of Isreal would be end of the world,I say treat them like they are,a bunch of terrorists about time they account for something

The IDF use the bible as their guide remember.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

www.israeltoday.co.il...

I think they may actually be attempting to make the prophesies of the bible come true.
Doesn't it say that most countries will hate them in the last days...They seem to be trying to make that happen, along with starting a war with Iran.

Rabbinical writers also see the events of Gog and Magog as taking place at the “End of day”, when the nations of the world come against Israel to destroy the Jewish people.

Why would a government/military wish to make such prophecy a reality?
But thats what they seem to be doing IMO.

To usher in the 1000 year reign.

Even Christopher Columbus was on a mission to bring about the end of days and usher in the new reign of Christ. Muslims are seeking the same thing, albeit with different characters.

People are crazy!!

Just this weekend I was sitting around my pool, barbequeing hotdogs and burgers, watching the kids play, listening to my best friends and parents sing on the kareoke piano, and we were discussing how bad things have gotten!

We are crazy!!! I love my life, but you won't hear me admit it very often, I am too busy complaining about the oil in the gulf, and obama, and the middle east, and my job not paying enough!

I hear you.We are a crazy species.
If more of us really started to focus on the good things in life, like you mentioned, not much of this craziness needs to occur.
We could stop trying to devise new ways to kill one another, and truly begin to progress as a species.

Maybe we need a global BBQ day.
It can't hurt.
May even stop Armageddon.

Hamas have certainly seized aid supplies in the past

www.guardian.co.uk...

However many essential supplies are not getting through at all

www.unrwa.org...

Ideally they should be able to obtain the supplies they need to rebuild their economy so they don't need aid.

Still, keep the poor poor and they're easier to control

Maybe we should ban sales of cement and all other building materials to Israel for the next 3 years and see how they like it?
