When June 23rd comes and goes without an attack, every one of the gullible schmucks posting about how this is definitely gonna happen because the spacemen told them so is simply going shuffle off quietly back into the Internet. Not one of them will apologize for viciously deriding the doubters. Not one of them will come back here to disavow further indulgence in Internet prognostication. Not one of them will appear in a subsequent prediction thread saying "gee guys, this didn't work out last time, maybe we should wait and see on this one instead of panicking and/or patting each other on the back for how psychic and awesome we are."

Instead, they'll just head over to the next prediction thread and mill around, like they're doing here, producing fifteen or thirty or five hundred pages about the next prophecy du jour. That thread too will end up on the front page of ATS (with a link at the top of every single thread), and this will contribute to visitors' and newcomers' perception of the majority of posters here as being at best irrational, and at worst schizophrenic.

There won't be a terror attack on June 23rd. I will be insulted for this post, called names, accused of working for the Government. The 23rd will pass uneventfully, and all of this will have been in vain-- all the panic, all the conflict between believers and skeptics, and all the awe some of you seem to be feeling in regard to one anothers' delusions.

Of course, all of these things will continue right up until the 23rd, and even after that, there will remain a particularly devoted and singularly irrational cadre of hangers-on who will insist that the prediction did in fact come to pass, and that some insignificant and tangentially related event barely meriting an AP headline met all of the qualifications (and somehow justified all of the drama) enumerated in this thread.

And although all, or most, of this will happen as I have described, I will not be heeded the next time I make a post very much like this one in another prediction thread.

Why, then, do I continue posting in these things, instead of resolutely ignoring them as I should?

Well, I imagine that eventually, even the densest minds available on the Internet will begin to draw a correlation between my persistent skeptical input on the particular matter of the occult or psychic prediction of specific events in the future, and the complete and utter failure of these predictions to come to any kind of fruition. After a hundred or so threads in which I maintain that a prediction will fail, and then it does, perhaps I will begin to earn a reputation as something of an (anti-)prophet myself.

At the very least, the visually simple nature of my avatar might become something of a subconscious cue to some of these people, sort of a logo for critical thinking-- "Hey", I like to think certain people might say to themselves, "I remember that guy. Didn't he say something like this last time we thought the world was going to end? And we're still here, right?".

This argument is being made now on a recently-posted thread about a "false-flag" prediction relating to April 20th. Apparently this is now being fulfilled in a way which rather stretches the definition of "false flag".

Therefore I suspect that the prediction you have just made about this thread will also be fulfilled.

But, failing that, the other unbeatable answer is always going to be "Shining the limelight on this evil made it go away".

Somewhere back on P5 or 6 of this thread, some of you guys/girls were talking about codes ...etc... Very interesting stuff. Someone also mentioned the Bible Code (getreadyalready I think). It might be an interesting exercise (if someone out there has the ability and the software) to chuck the relevant date in and see what comes up.

Whether you actually believe the Bible Code or not, if you read the books, it certainly seems to show some interesting correlations.

ONLY one way to find out, if nothing has happened by the end of this month you are a retard if it does happen we will be dead anyway so er........thanks?

This is gonna sound stupid of weird(depends on the point of view),but a few days back one of my clients called me,he is an astrologer(i know ...i don't believe in astrology either),but he told me that i should be extra careful on June 22nd and June 23rd.
I didn't pay much attention,but reading this i will be careful just in case.

Anyway,i've "seen" hidden messages in movies and tv shows about various of subjects.Maybe they are not real and i'm paranoid,maybe they are meant to be there,to be decoded and mislead people who are into this stuff or maybe someone from the inside is trying to warn people of upcoming events.

We will see in......21 days.

A google search of "TERROR DATE 6/23/2010" shows that several other boards have picked up on this post and have copy and pasted it to their own threads. One such repost of this material on GLP got over 2500 hits yesterday.

A lie repeated does not make it any more true. "Viral" is rather apt.
