The Big ( Super ) Moderator introduction thread...?

Hello ATS and more importantly...

Those who belong to the best staff on the internet. Mods and Supermods. ( and everybody else that belongs to the ATS staff.

I am a member for only six months and I still have not ran in to at least halve of you all. ( Mods etc...)

I would really like it if you would take the trouble to introduce yourself in a single thread.
Sort of an introduction thread for those who like to know and those who never heard of you.

Something like:

Hi I'm ......Mod/Supermod. Maybe the thing that got you hooked and started here as a newby...
Favorite thread(s). Specialised subject. Do's and don'ts. ( Without the usual ATS Ideology speech attached. ( Don't get me wrong I believe it is a good one. ) I saw Entripid yesterday recieve a comment that stated who are you to tell me what to do... Made me Cause in my experience he is very visible involved and still has the same avatar as six months ago. That said...

I'd like to invite the best staff of the internet tell a little about themselves ?

I'm this sites owner, I have several trolls like Skepticoverlord and all the rest of the staff who claim to own this site.

I know it's totally against the rules to have trolls n stuff but....I own this site you noob, froob, nab what err ya gonna do about it.

Hi im Asala A super Moderator here on ATS, I have been here for almost 7 years now and moderated for just over 6,

I really enjoy Current events so my favourite forums tend to be those that reflect that, I also enjoy The paranormal forum as I myself have has interesting experiences, I’m one half the Conspiracy chicks (our new show on ATS)

In my “of the computer world” which ill call real life lol im a carer and provide care for my wheelchair bound grandmother, Im also an avid lover of photography and spend alot of time with my camera,


If I was to advice people here I would say learn to meet in the middle,
We have members from all over the world and people from all walks of life and experiences that will effect opinions, Not really a do’s and don’ts but DO listen to everyone even it a subject seems a little out there,
The big word here is Respect… Respect all opinions that differ from your own, Sounds simple but it can be the hardest thing to learn

Hi, I'm Gazrok, and it's been 16 days since I.....

Oh..oops..wrong thread.

I'm Gazrok and I'm a Super Moderator. As one can see, I've been here for eons, so maybe that's why I became staff?

Anyhow, my favorite areas are UFOs and Aliens, Ancient Civilizations, Cryptozoology, and BTS (yep, I know...). I tend to applaud well-researched posts, but especially love applauding someone who disagrees with me and backs it up with referenced data. Although a prolific poster (probably just shy of Skeptic Overlord himself), I'm off and on, on how often I'm here, but always happy to help.

Hmm, as the mouthiest person here I don't know if there's anything left to say. "Politics is my bag Baby, Yeah." Well that's not news. It was also politics that interested me in ATS.

As noted, if you have a topic, I probably have an opinion. Some don't care much for that though. I've got the 2nd most "foes" of anyone here.

Seems I missed my 6th birthday here at ATS.


I found ATS by means of some 9/11 story that interested me (NYC Resident) and I found myself gravitating towards aliens/ufos and 9/11 and terrorism stories. I got hooked by the games (still have my giant bean bag) and the infamous Slurpo nonsense.

I had a run-in with Simon over the illuminati (I recall telling him that, as a site owner, he should try not to be so rude), a spat with Springer over the tv show that never came to fruition and SO over a very wrong answer in one of the trivia games (the lipstick building is on lexington avenue Bill - We had steaks there two weeks back and I failed to remind you, yet again, of that gaffe) and somehow, still, I was asked to join the staff. I respectfully declined but Springer pushed so, being the jewish accountant that I am, I asked what they paid and if we received shares in the business.

Springer's response - "funny you should ask" - led to my coming on board, finding angel investors and my rapid rise from moderator to CFO.

some do's and don'ts:
do act in a civil manner.
do post often but make those posts count.
don't post nonsense, don't derail threads, certainly don't hoax the community.
do file complaints/alerts when you see something on the boards that doesn't belong.
don't file complaints without explaining what you see as an issue, unless it's obvious.
don't fear the staff. we're members first, moderators last.

don't feed us after midnight and never, ever get us wet.
