This day has been set aside to remember those military members who served their country, who suffered, survived wounds, or died in the service to this country.

There is freedom of speech in our nation, but it was paid for by the blood of these very heroes. While several people voice their disagreement, I will gladly stand up as a veteran and give a salute to all those men and women who served this country, and for all those who gave "their last full measure of devotion."

When those detractors have accomplished something, anything, worthy of being mentioned in the same breath with these who have sacrificed everything, THEN I will listen to their arguments!

Thanks to all our vets out there who fought for this country's freedom with obligation and duty in their hearts.

And we remember and thank the fallen ones who gave their lives for our country.
