WASHINGTON, May 31, 2010 (Reuters) — A magnitude 6.4 quake struck east of India's Andaman Islands and triggered a local tsunami warning, the U.S. Geological Survey and Pacific Tsunami Warning Center reported on Monday.
The USGS said the quake struck at 1:21 a.m. on Tuesday (3:51 p.m. EDT on Monday) 75 miles east of Port Blair at a depth of 79.4 miles
