where does all this crap come from that the idf is some super army capable of defeating any army. they barely beat hezbollah and were driven back to their borders by them, despite bombing the hell out of every civilian target they could think off. even hamas drove them back. this isn't the 1970's. if they could even think about defeating iran they would have done it already. they know that with irans air defence at full force with state of the art russian weaponry, they would be lucky if they can get 1 out of every 10 f-16's through. its all huff and puff, like the puffer fish that inflates itself to deter enemies. netanyahu just cancelled a meeting with obama, those two are bordering on severe dislike, if not hate. im pretty sure if obama told them that if they attacked iran without americas permission, they would be lucky if they ever see a spare screw to maintain their planes again. all their resupply and spare parts will be somehow delayed indefinitely at american ports.

Problem is buddy, your propaganda parroting won't work this time. Major 'legislators' from Europe were aboard this ship. NATO sponsored... calling "terrorism" won't work this time.

Sorry.

Obviously most of you are very biased against Israel and it's people.. Why would they not allow building materials to go in?...maybe because Palestinian terrorists use civilian buildings to hide in, and to shoot rockets from to hit Israel...

Does this mean that from now until the end of time the Palestinains must live in tents because someone MIGHT use a building for a terrorist attack?

I know you and others will dig out every slur in the book so lets get some facts straight before you start branding me.

Both of my grandfathers fought in WWII, both saw first hand what happened to the Jewish people at the hands of the Nazi's. Two generations later those who were liberated/saved are guilty of most of the same crimes. Of all the countries on this planet, Israel should know better then to behave the way that they are.

Of all the people on Earth, the Israeli's should know better.

The fact is that if we were to turn the cameras off for a weekend every single Palestinian would be killed. Where the best way to get rid of large numbers of bodies safely is to burn them, we would see ovens set up too since open pit fires would stink too much.

Both sides are guilty. Both sides have tremendous issues to deal with amoung their own people before ever sitting down to a negotiating table.

Even worse, both sides ENJOY being the victim.

Nukes have only been used TWICE in warfare (twice more than enough) but hundreds have been used worldwide for tests.

I hope that the Turks POUND THE HECK out of any Israeli Naval vessels that come within their proximity en route to Gaza, but that's just me.

Hey JayinAR, it's been a long time since I've seen you in a post.

Exactly..don't forget their population available for combat..

If it does kick off i hope it's conventional warfare.. no nukes and the like

This will be a diplomatic disturbance at best - which might be more dangerous for Israel than an actual war. Israel has a lot of favorable trade agreements at stake, if EU countries solidarize with Turkey on that matter. Most probable outcome: Israel will be forced to backpedal and Netanyahu will look like a fool. Without a pro-Likud US president in charge, they cant go up against NATO.
Salute to Turkey for bravery, anyway.

Similarly, the Turkish backed (funded?) flotilla was a deliberately provocative act. All they had to do was dock in the port of Ashdod, have their goods inspected for weapons and off it goes to Gaza. Off course sending in the Hamas PR squad to provoke the Israelis is a great way to raise political capital.

Or maybe it was because the Gaza blockade is illegal as recognized by the U.N., and like anything unjust, it was protested and defied?
The humanitarians did the right thing in standing up to a bullie's bull# rules. I hope Turkey has a similar set of balls.

Lol what a bunch of bullcrap.
Hamas drove the IDF back? Hahahah. Have you been on earth when that conflict took place?

As for hezbullah "defeating" the IDF and driving them back . . . what nonsense is this?
Did they use any open fighting tactics? Did they not hide and shoot from civilian areas under civilian disguise? Did they not cry to the UN to stop the destruction of Lebanon?

If LEBANON had enough balls to declare war with Israel, not a single Hezbullah operative would've stayed alive to this day as Lebanon would've been flat like an LCD television.

Israel has already attacked Iraq's nuclear reactor without USA's permission, it has also attacked Syria's reactor recently, without USA's permission.

Did what you talk about happen? No, Israel still exists to this day.

Absolutely disgusting, I love how moronic and down right ignorant most people are on the subject of Israel. You realize before the 400 year old squatters were there Jews owned the land right? You attempt to justify it not being Jewish land, and how the Jews are thieves who bullied a group off people out of land. SNAP BACK TO REALITY MORONS.

Name one country which hasn't changed hands in the course of history? Keep crying, while you're at it why doesn't the US give its land back to the Indians?
Your entire argument is as laughable as anything I've ever witnessed before.

I am fully aware of that

I'm from the UK, and it's fact that the EU will become the U.S.E within 10-15 years.

The Lisbon Treaty, The Mediterranean Union are proponents for it.

Well said... and not only are people overestimating Israel, they're severely underestimating Turkey.

Turkey has an extremely capable army, airforce and navy. Israel stands no chance.

Laugh all you want, tough guy, history (albeit most likely misunderstood in your case) doesn't justify genocide.

If I put up all of those little laughy faces in regards to a post about how the Nazis cooked jews in ovens I would probably be banned.

And this is much of the problem you see, you are a hypocrite. You don't understand the meaning of the word compromise. Or empathy... Or sympathy, for that matter. I look on you like a cat who has just sprayed on my carpet.

So stupid you don't want to kick it.

Iran's military is a joke. They spent a decade and a million men fighting off Saddam's army which got decimated within two weeks time in GWI.

Look up Operation Praying Mantis.

Every Arab army has folded against the Israelis.

RE 2006 Lebanon. The only means an Arab army has of fighting Israel to even a stalemate is 5th gen irregular warfare (i.e. Hezbollah).

Of course using Lebanon as their launching pad is of no concern to them because dead civilians make great propaganda. Not to mention they set Lebanon back a generation or two to make war on the little Satan.

In that case, I guess it would be alright for me to go to my former house, kick the current residents out, and take the whole neighborhood while I'm at it? After all, I used to live there.

I hope Turkey stays the course and accompanies those ships. The Israeli government needs to be put in its place. I hope the Israeli civilians could get out of there before any action, though. Their government has committed the evils, not them.

I dont think Isreal will attack. the Turkish navy.

They will just sink thr aid ship as it crosses the blockade.

Then it will be Turkeys move to respond or back down.

This thread revealed the true face of this site.

People are like OMG KILLERS, COLD BLOODED KILLERS whenever Israel kills a Hamas terrorist or a "peace activist" in disguise, drowning in sorrow for a single loss of life whenever the name Israel is mentioned,

Yet,

You are all so glad that Turkey is (hopefully by you) join in the conflict against Israel.

First, that will not happen, so you guys can stop hoping for a miracle.
Second, if it will happen, it will mean war.
A big, nasty, terrible war with LOTS of deaths on both sides, and who knows if it wouldn't escelate into a world war three and a nuclear holocaust at the end of it?

You guys just want to see Israel off the map no matter at what costs, and it's plain obvious most of you are so uneducated you don't even have the slightest clue on what's happening on the middle east as of now.

But yeah keep your hopes up for a Turkish brave attack on an Israeli "aggressor" ship... Lol.. You're in for SUCH a let-down.

You called the example I gave of an Israeli family which was murdered by Palestinian terrorists as an "sob story".... that says a lot about how you view this whole situation...and btw HAMAS, Hezbollah, and the Palestinian authorities keep Israel on their toes every day with their attacks, but of course to a Palestinian apologist like yourself that doesn't matter....

I guess you would be fine if your neighbors were threatening you and your family every day, if they were throwing molotov cocktails at your home, even injuring your family, and every time you call the police they don't do anything... Yeah you would be more than fine with that and wouldn't do anything right?....

EXACTLY.

Some of these people are sick f*cks. They laugh with glee at the thought Israel might get nuked (which would, incidentally, take out the Palestinians), celebrate the death of Israelis, decry efforts by Israel to defend itself, etc.

These same people will defend countries like Iran or Syria what put their women in bags and have secret police which have been raping and murdering for decades.

These are the same people who cry bloody murder when Arizona tries to maintain the integrity of its society by enforcing prohibitions against illegal immigration.
