They can't do it. It means too much. Egypt and Iraq and Jordan are unofficially with Israel because all of them are with us. If Turkey does this, they effectively get cut off from everyone.

I don't want to say anything, but Turkey doesn't exactly have much backing here. I for one am sad by the events, but Israel responded as they said they would. And I simply do not see them as going forward with this.

Turkey will get their butts kicked by Israel if it comes down to it.
Turkey may have this and that, but Israel will never be taken out.
It won't happen. They can throw everything at Israel and they won't win against Israel. Don't believe me, just keep watching and you will see what
I am talking about. The show will begin soon. Grap some popcorn and
kick back.

I pray Gods speed to the Turkish Navy.
Second line: May Gods divine angels guide your way!

Is there anything, ANYTHING that Israel did or will not do that the whole world would not condem? All the neo-con talk show hosts and internet news sites are blaming this on the people on the delivery boats. I had an argument today with a neo-con who thinks that Israel can do anything it wants. I asked if it was OK for Israel to drop one of their many nuclear bombs on Gaza. He said yes because all arabs are scum. This thing is far from over. All the U.S. can say is how bad it was for the people to be killed. Go figure.

Well my view is that if the Turkish Navy are going to escort aid ships part of the way to Gaza, then that is to be a welcome step and I only wish my Government here in the UK would use pressure to get the Israeli blockade lifted, although that will not happen as there are too many other interests at stake to worry about starving children in Gaza for No 10 to be critical.

It is high time that people stood up against Israel and its continued defiance of international law as well as humanatrain law, they are dangerous people who need to be stopped before the wipe out the people of Gaza, either by starving them to death or by firing missiles at them as and when they wish, this is collective punishment of the Palestinian people and need to be brought to an end.

Well done Turkey for standing up to these people just wish the rest of us would do the same.

I started an original thread on the Turkish involvement earlier, but it was closed by a moderator, and told to continue on existing threads. I guess polarisation do occur, and moderators too, are only human.

But for the sake of peace, here is the original post to consider:-

Turkey's flotilla false flag success
---------------------------------

1.Turkey too, like many meditteranean states, are equally susceptable to the current financial and banking crisis. They too will have to make much more auterity measures than other states, as corruption is a way of life.

2. Turkey's common people rejoiced when its military finally toppled the decadant Ottoman Turks of rapacious Caliphs-mortal men who twisted a holy religion to suit their own ends.

For decades, Turks had a better life enjoyed by many other Europeans, but in recent times, radical Islamist had once again, abuse religion and made use of it to turn the common people, the way Iran had done, using the vote just as Hitler too was voted in a supposed democracy.

3. With the govt soon to be in trouble by the financial crisis, a false flag event would be necessary to avoid a backlash from the people. Sending a ship loaded with manipulated humanitarians, sacrificing them on a direct path to Gaza where a military blockade is being enforced, getting them killed is the best way to ignite righteous anger at others while deflecting blame on the govt for the financial crisis and corruption.

4. After scores of humanitarians sacrificed and dead, and the world in righteous moral anger at Jews, the Turkey Islamic Govt heaves a sigh of relieve. Better a war now, and the financial woes forgotten.

Even better if Turkey turns out on top and revive its Caliphate claims as now they are seen as the 'righteous heroes'.

5. In ATS, we aim to deny ignorance. Let us - muslims, christians, jews, free thinkers, etc, not be manipulated but look deeper into the picture.

Those responsible will be punished by international investigations and trial, and not by inflammation of irrationality that will only murder other innocents. The killings must stop.

If humanitarian aid was the aim, then by all means follow the protoccol, as the world's nations are trying their best to solve the Palestinian issues peacefully, and such measures do take time.

Opportunists who seek a quick war at the Palestinian issue must be identified and put away, or many more innocent lives will be lost, not just palestinians and jews.

Peace

I hope there isn't more to this whole situation than meets the eye. Ask the question, is this staged? Has this already been planned as the vehicle that will carry the whole world into the next major war?

If so, you can bet that something will happen. The Turks and Israelis might not even know it. History shows that when TPTB want war, they pull dirty tricks to make it happen. So let's just hope that there isn't a puppet master behind this whole thing and it is as it appears to be, which is just another squabble.

You can bet that if TPTB are behind this because they want to start a war, then it is going to happen.

Anything from a smuggled weapon on the aid ship or a rogue soldier ordered to initiate a fight will do it. Any little thing.

So I guess within a week we will find out.

I am just amazed at the double standard and the hypocrisy of all those members who keep blaming Israel for this and want international action...

I remember very well how in 1996 the Communist Cuban government sent a mig and ordered to shoot down two civilian aircraft, which they did, who were searching for Cuban people who were in the water trying to get out of Cuba....

Those planes had no weapons whatsoever, and no sort of aid except to help human lives survive the shark infested waters off Cuba... What did the "international community" do?... and most of you?.... NOTHING.... There were NO CALLS for INTERNATIONAL ACTION....there were no CONDEMNATION OF THE COMMUNIST REGIME.... NOTHING AT ALL...

Yet when Israeli forces want to stop ships that could very well have military aid and other aid for terrorists, it has happened many times in the past, and when these "peace activists" attack with pipes the Israeli forces and they are forced to use tear gas, and btw notice how even the Arab video recording doesn't say ANYTHING about bullets, but only tear gas being used, and you all want to destroy the entire city of Israel, and everyone within it....

Israel is not only the politicians in charge, it is full of PEOPLE whose ancestors have lived in those areas as long, if not longer than Arabs have...

How about YOU ALL demand for both sides to co-exist and allow the other side to exist in peace instead of advocating the destruction of Israel?.... But nooo...of course not...most of you are pro-Palestinian and anti-Israeli... Boohoo to every one of you...

Well the fact is Turkey can't do it fully because they will not be able to enter Israeli water's. But its definitely a defiant measure for sure.

gaza is not part of jooland, and has every right to conduct trade access by sea.

Just wondering if I said raghead land would it be o.k.? Not supporting either side but it seems jooland is just fine on this board.

I don't know what year ATS was established but I doubt it was around in 1996. So to critise ATS'ers for not responding back in 1996 is simply ridiculous, and frankly shows the lengths that zionist apologists will go to justify the illegal and murderous actions of the IDF.

I don't see any ATS members calling for the end of Israel. Actually the site wouldn't tolerate that anyway. Most anti Israel posters want Israel to let Palestinians have a normal life and are sick to death of watching Isreal create misery for arabs.

Seriously!!! oh dear.

I have worked extensively in Istanbul, and if its one thing I know, the Turks some of the most arrogant, self righteous, calculating and nationalistic people I have known.

I am not being derogatory that;s also how they see themselves!!

They have a saying. One Turk is worth the world.

After the first world war, their national hero, Ataturk proclaimed about the allied troops that died in the dardonels campaign, (parapohrasing) All those sons of foreign land, who spilt their blood on turkish soil, and now reside here. Have peace knowing that you are now the sons of Turkey.

I am not sure how the ANZAC families took that, But in the Turkish mind that is the best honour that could ever be given.

I have friends there, so they aren;t evil or anything. Lets just says their mind set and logic is very different to the west. they are very hospitable people!! and will share their last meal with a stranger.

BUT.

if the Turkish Navy says it is going to escort these ships to Gaza. That IS what they are going to do.

Brinkmanship is as Turkish as Baklava, Kofte, and Dolma.

Ball is firmly in court of Isreal! there is now 2 choices. Fight or Back Down.

Knowing the Isrealis, I bet fight!

Places you bets ladies and gents. you are witnessing a replay of Sarajevo 1914.

This is a meant to appear as a trap, that in their arrogance, Isreal fell for.

Isreal should have forced the boats to a harbour and searched them there. Instead they attacked in an area where they have no jurasdiction forcing a NATO aligned power to deploy it's military.

What happens now is Isreal will make a deal (assuming it hasn't been done already).

To enforce the illegal blockade means Isreal would have to answer to the world bodies and NATO; by letting the boats through they admit that they have no legal jurasdiction. Since neither of these things can be allowed to happen, an 11th hour deal is the only solution.

There will be no war between Turkey and Isreal.

Personally? The rhetoric about Isreali nukes will go away. The deal has been made that aid will be allowed in to Gaza as long as the West stops asking questions about the Isreali nuclear program.

Davinci, I would not be so sure mate. These are some guys that have been fighting the PKK for gods know how long.

And when they smell blood in the water. they DO go in for the kill!

Diplomacy will go out of the window.

Watch for the isreali ambassador to be expelled!

This could bet VERY serious!

A TURKISH vessel has been fired upon! A TURKISH vessel!! I can hear it now.
