Two of the ships in the next flotilla has a US flag, so things could get interesting when they set off.

[edit on 31-5-2010 by john124]

If they're dumb enough to send out another batch of blockade runners after this, IDF needs to sink 'em, American flags or not. I'm an American, and I say sink 'em. It would be a shame if folks that foolish were allowed to produce offspring.

I agree 100%, besides anyone can buy an American flag anywhere. Hell, if I wanted to I could buy a Syrian flag to fly in my yard. There was no indication prior to sailing that America was involved in this whatsoever. It is simply a tactic to garner support for the terrorists.

I say present the families of the dead with a "darwin award" on behalf of the dead.

Well there were American citizens on boards...If you read the passenger list. You should be ashamed for calling the dead "Recievers" of the "darwin award". These are people fighting for peace in an very UNPEACEFUL section of the Middle East. They have guts, and bravery for sailing aboard this ship. They are NOT terrorists....Hell one of em was holocaust survivor....

Local media reports that there is 15 dead among aid flotilla crew and tens of wounded. Also 6 IDF soldiers are wounded. Official Israeli version is that soldiers on one of the boats were attacked with knifes/clubs and there was attempt to take weapons from soldiers. Do not know if it is the truth, since there is no actual proof. However all dead from one ship out of 6 do show that there was something extraordinary there.
What can be safely said is that this operation failed, since at least i hope that those who planned it did not want 15 dead.
I am waiting for reports from people who were on the targeted ship ,once they leave Israel.

If would be a better word

Found this article from an Indian news site:

Five European MPs are among the activists, she said. However, another five would not be on the boats that had been due to leave on Friday but were delayed due to a lack of cooperation by Greek Cypriot authorities.

Organisers had been kept "under close scrutiny" while on land in Cyprus by helicopters and intelligence agents, she added. "For a humanitarian operation, this was a real eye opener."

The six remaining boats in the flotilla regrouped in international waters are loaded with thousands of tonnes of supplies. Organisers said an eighth ship, which left from Ireland, would travel toward Gaza separately.

Here is the full link: www.hindustantimes.com...

There is definitely something more to this story. The part about the 6 ships in international waters seems to be a separate part of the fiasco from what I can tell.

I've never seen a disinfo agent before, always thought it was a paranoid myth of those who feel their persecuted. However after the last several pages of this thread, I don't doubt it anymore.

Thank you for the live stream. I appreciate A.J.s coverage of this.

My pleasure man. It's been interesting though the night how people have been skeptic and siding with Israel. Then when they start watching the footage suddenly they're appalled.

I just like to say cracker jack job Western MSM on reporting this. Way to go.

It's expected. The same thing happened with the coverage of "Cast Lead". Many were "siding" with Israel back then, and when I pointed them to the live footage, they were disgusted at what they saw.

Truth has no "side".

All these Israel haters, you disgust me. You just eat up all of this anti-israel hype and dont question where it came from. Imagine your country was surrounded on all sides by countries who openly declare they want you wiped out. Israels very existance is under threat. This "aid" flotilla is just political chess. The real aim was to provoke a response from israel and create more anti israel news that the ignorant so happily eat up. If you read a bit deeper into it you will find that the Israelis wanted to search the ship for weapons which is perfectly understandable, when the boarding troops were attacked with axes and one of the "aid convoy" grabbed a gun off an israeli officer. The real reason for these conflicts is not because of israel but due to the Muslim worlds pathetic reluctance to accept israels right to exist. What the arabs are trying to do now is no better than what hitler did 60 years ago.

So if we are to believe the spin cycle in the MSM now,

Is the OP not an msm source?

a boatload of Hamas and Alqueda terrorists that Israel was escorting peacefully into Israeli waters when they suddenly and for no reason attacked the armed Israelis with sharp objects and clubs?

Are you of the view that a threat by the Hamas does not exist, that its a fabrication by Israel?

What if - just what if there actually was a threat?

Man you got to hand it to the ZOM machine, they sure know how to run those presses.

What does ZOM machine mean? Im not familiar with the term.

Greece, Sweden, and Spain have summoned the Israeli prime minister...
Germany and France have shown their concern over the attacks as well.

This is nuts..

This might explain why the commando's 'may' have been attacked.

www.guardian.co.uk...

A reporter on one of the boats saying the Israelis fired at the vessel before boarding it

So maybe just maybe, the very notion that live ammo being fired at them before they were boarded is what prompted the crew of the ship to arm themselves.

I know i certainly would.

Then as a result of this, the Israeli's were no doubt pushing and shoving and shouting at people , pointing guns at them. And people retaliated, maybe out of fear .... and then roughly 20 dead people and many more injured..

The reports of 'light fire' could have been one of the commando's guns going off during a struggle, which then prompted the other commando's to start firing on board.

Thank you for the link. It's pretty much the same thing that shark posted..actually exactly the same. I suppose my problem is that I don't get the language being spoken, and the fact that I never saw anyone actually crying out for their lives to be sparred. When they spoke in english, I did hear that people had been "injured.".

don't get me wrong...I don't advocate killing "peacekeepers". I just don't *see* much happening here. I hear talk that is prolly in arabic and I *did* hear something that was prolly gunshots. I did not *see* any death or pleading in this video. The bandanna thing throws me off a lot..

Call me ignorant, but so far these videos have not shown me the claims that have been made so far..

www.livestream.com...

Seems like they're running a loop over and over of the attacks now on the stream. Check it out of you don't believe us. You can clearly watch Israeli commandos firing on unarmed civilians and absolutely no resistance from the activists.

You're being disingenuous now using Straw Men.

The USAF can cause the satellites to mis-report for security and military reasons. I do not think from what I know it would be for more than 2 to 4 klicks, but I have no recent information. Also there are reports when this happens as the GPS is used for surveying, navigation, etc. So it gets noticed.

Ah nah man it's all good, this is edited up pieces. The original footage took place over about 45 minutes (or at least that's when I started watching) switching between (I would estimate) ten-twelve cameras. The most burnt image in my memory is a commando jumping on the ship's desk and then firing his weapon where the feed suddenly went to black.

My thoughts are Isreal did it again.

It's time for America to stop supporting them stop rescuing them with vetos and to let them face some of the consequences for a while. If they change their act later we can befriend them again then.

Seriously lets get out own country out of trouble and stop sending finances and weapons to these fascists.

Big star for you.

The Israeli agents are showing their blatant disregard for life. I'm disgusted. But then again, the first terrorist were Zionists. Google is your friend ...

"Speaking to Israeli army radio on Monday, Israeli army spokesperson Avi Benayahu said that he did not know who ordered Israeli commandos to open fire after they boarded Gaza-bound aid ships, where they killed at least 10 people.

"It is too early to determine [who ordered to open fire]," he said, continuing, "The navy acts in accordance with orders and the rules for opening fire are very clear. The soldiers had been warned not to give in to provocations."

Benayahu added, "The navy had developed models to prepare for this operation, but sometimes life is more complicated than the models. We were prepared for a police mission to confront violence, but we were confronted with a violence of a terrorist nature.”
