Here is an link of some tests that were done using microbes eating the oil.
I just cant believe they haven't already been spraying these organisems over the oil.
It is a win-win solution to everything. They are non toxic and make from the oil a solution that can be eaten by marine life so also non toxic by products. When all the oil is consumed they just die and nothing can be seen. Like nothing happend.

Peace people and let these little creatures help the US his east coast recover.

The bulk of the oil is in great globs deep underwater.

And there's a large quantity now mixed with a toxic dispersant that BP has insisted on using, despite orders from the EPA to stop.

Sorry, your solution might help a little, but not much.

Edited to add this is not an oil spill, its a number of mile deep gushers that aren't stopping anytime soon.

Temporarily cleaning a bit of beach ...

The navy tried microbes(algae and bacteria) to clean up jet and diesel fuel spilled years ago.

Diesel user have been paying the price ever since.

We have been having to buy biocide treatment for our diesel ever since.

And this has been a life threatening problem for hospitals that rely on emergency diesels during power outages.
