Welcome to the fray, may the best man win!
Fancy a side bet?

Don't know why we are all bothering though, Buds already got it won!:shk:

I'm definately up for some kind of prize for the winner. Although having never won a bet in my life its always good to have some award for being top dog. Ofcourse bragging rights are important too. will nef be giving a weekly score read out on ATS live

Trying my best woody but can't think of something funny and / or humiliating enough for the loser and something worthy enough for the victor...am sure between the three of us we should be able to come up with something suitable.

Edit to add, don't know why it's all in bold type?, looks ok to me?

And YAY.... I'm in the league, Wooden spoon here I come... Oh wait, that's rugby right?

I put a couple of £2 bets on at the bookies today too....

I'm not going to say who otherwise I'll be stuck in the tower for being a traitor... :shk:

But I thought why not, it makes it more interesting.

Of course, what a ding, thanks.

Edit to add:

Already got quite a few slips for England.
I have backed The Netherlands and Germany each way.
For some strange reason I think Urugauay will do well and have had a daft little bet on them.

Strangely enough a lot of bookies are tipping Serbia as a live outsider, I don't see it but.....?

Argentina!

Anyone BUT Argentina and France,
you should know this blup :shk:

In the highly unlikely event that Argentina do win, tis blood money and I suggest you donate your winnings to a suitable charity or worthy cause.

I know I know.... you see why I wanted to keep quiet? Just don't tell old Lizzy ok? I don't wanna be locked in the tower.... Unless it has a big widescreen LCD TV, a Lazy boy chair and loads of beer.... Hmmmmmmm.

Well they have the Strongest squad I think.... But man..... doing both Germany AND the bloody Argies..... I know.... shoot me. :shk: I deserve it.

I did take England at 9's though, a while back... and they're now like 7's, so it evens it all out.... Right?

Germany I can understand and accept, just, (backed them myself each way), but Argentina, :shk:.....I'm lost for words.

There's just one saving grace....they've got no chance!

I assure you they wil not get passed the quarters at best.

And I shall reserve comment on Maradona.

Oh man... I'm pissing myself man.... Too funny.

Well we'll see what happens... I hope both Germany and the Argies don't get out of the groups... It would be great... But I don't bet with my heart, I bet with my head.

But I dunno man.

I've thought Holland, Germany, Spain and Argentina for a while now... couldn't decide who so just did them all on a whim today.

Apart from England (who I hope do win) , I don't honestly care who wins... Just wanna see some class football and I have a feeling there's gonna be some cracking matches, even the group stages look juicy man....

I just cannot wait

Right behind you on 9 points, good to get off to a good start. Hopefully I should be on top by end of play today.

Yeah, you done well too woody, but it starts in earnest today!

Nerves are starting to jangle, all the expectation, all the hopes, all the dreams.
We need a solid start, don't need to look like world beaters at this stage.
Solid Capello like efficiency will do against decent, but nothing special, opposition.

And YES!!!! Zero points..... My plan is working..... Lull you all into a false sense of security.... Mwwwwwwaaaaaaahhhhahahahahah :shk:

I hope so, will be a nightmare on here if we lose, seen plenty of American baiting over this game, from certain english members. Lets just hope we dont do as france did last night. They were poor.
I just cant helping getting nervous about an England game, always a rollercoaster ride. All I want to see is a bit of belief, some confidnece.

we shall see.
