It is 10:34 pm and getting severe lag. It takes forever to post something or even open up a post. Y'all doing some changes or something?

BTW I am on cable modem so no way I get lag here.....

Your right, I thought it was my system at first.
It does take forever for some threads to even come up and some don't.

maybe too many people are trying to get in the site tonight?

It's the little digg.com widget on the side of every thread. digg must be down and it's lagging the page load here.

you can get around it by disabling JavaScript on your browser if you can.

Same in the Caribbean. Must be the CME that was due to hit today!

Is it just me, or is it solely the thread pages that have the lag? I can get to everything else as quickly as I normally do, but the threads themselves take 5 minutes to open.

I have a theory, I just saw a 5 page thread disappear. Not going to say which one yet.

It's still happening in Phx, Az. on Cox Cable, some time I have to refresh the screen 4 or 5 times to get a thread up so I can at least read the post.

I can't even begin to imagine the problems for or brother and sisters in other countries.
But I understand most other countries have much faster Internet connections.
Remember BBS from the 80's with the old 300 baud modems and the faster 1200 baud modems?

It happened a few weeks ago.
It seems to be related to digg.com
