The US military has raised its alert level for its South Korean troops and has placed 24 stealth fighter jets within easy reach of the Korean Peninsula, according to US military sources.

I think South Korea and Unite States is preparing for confrontation with North Korea. 24 stealth fighters ready to go? Sounds gonna fishy to me.probably need them to bomb some sites when or if a war breaks out.
Things on the Korean peninsula keeps getting worse and worse. I think because Russia and China won't back sanctions, SK and U.S. will do a military strike on the North.

It's kinda of a recap of what is happening...

Nothing new under the sun.

24 F-22 deployed to Japan and troops in SKorea on Watchcon 2...

Nothing new.

But since it's a new day in Korea, we might see new developments in the coming few hours.

How can you be sure of that? Also they raised the alert level. All I am saying there preparing for confrontation with the North. Remember north committed an "act of war" China and Russia won't support sanctions. So what does that leave South Korea and the Allies in the regions with what options...Yea think about it.

It does seem likely so, it will probably be this summer. I don't see the region dodging a bullet this time, after what happened.

Well its gonna be the first major theater war of this decade. Gotta have atleast one every 10 years to keep the militiary industral complex working.

If it goes we may use nukes.

We all know what that would mean.

Sorry but that NK sinking the ship is the fishy bit....
Why would they do such a thing, knowing they would be found out,
and then not take the credit......I just cant buy it...

Of course! This is surprising on South Korea's part. Both Japan and South Korea are more pacifist when it comes to these types of issues.

That happened when Japan was a empire. Times have changed and Japan has grown up after WW2.

I think Japan were humbled by the war but they are nation with strong pride and they may be just biding their time...

It's a childish mentality in play. Cheeky kids won't admit to something they did that is proven, so I don't know why anyone would expect NK to own up. They are like China in that they will tease, manipulate and be arrogant the whole time, just like wayward kids.

I think not much will happen until the U.S. or U.N. sends a flotilla to enforce a blockade in both seas around Korea. Then you will see an "errant" short range missile hit a U.S. ship to get the party started. I base this on some "RV'ing" I did two years ago.

Don't you all know that the japanese perfected the "Shrink Ray" like 40 years ago.

There are at least 12 trillion of them. Everywhere...

On topic:

I'm no surprised to see and escalation in the prepardness of the military on both sides. Tension is really really high.

A powder keg one would say.

I hope it's just postering and saber rattling as usual. No need to see a war this summer, or anytime for that matter.

I really think our government and our allies know something is gonna happen and preparing for it. I mean 24 of these bad babies ready to go at all times in South Korea

You don't have a large number of these on stand by for no reason. The elites know something and haven't told us yet.

There aren't any of those in Japan. The fighters deployed to Japan are F-22's.
