Since the air quality and human health has become a concern along the Gulf, I looked up the effects of Corexit and stumbled across this journal
article.
Effects of corexit 9527 on the hatchability of mallard eggs
It states that it is "water soluble" and "self-mixing". Meaning it can, and I would think, will get into the atmosphere, and possibly come down in
the rain?
It was used in 1968 at the wreck of the Torrey Canyon, and was deemed to be very toxic then.
So my question is, why are they still using it in wanton disregard for the environment of the Gulf Coast?
