US toll reaches 1,000 deaths in Afghanistan war
KABUL, Afghanistan – More U.S. military deaths in the last 10 months of the Afghan war than in the first five years of the conflict. More boots
on the ground than in Iraq.
In the last 10 months, at least 313 U.S. service members have been killed in the war — more than the 295 who died in the first five years of the
conflict. More than 430 of the U.S. dead were killed since Obama took office in January 2009.

Ironic we hit this number right before Memorial Day. Since we have no intent of leaving, EVEN THOUGH WE CANNOT FINANCE THIS WAR, this number is going
to increase...and probably A LOT.
I am staunchly anti-war and I want our troops home. This is probably going to be overlooked in the chaos that is the news right now.
Hopefully everyone takes time to honor the soldiers and innocent civilians who have lost their life.
