Time to set it off my friend. Time to set it off. I have high hopes for 8/28.

I'm still trying to find a way. Hopefully I can go because it will truly be monumental and historic.

The guy is worth watching, but as others have pointed out, he works for some of the most powerful people around and you have to take what he says with a grain of salt.

From my experience watching him, I wouldn't call him a cold-hearted liar or a gung-ho shill. Rather, I would call him cautious. He really does put out a lot of good information on his show, even if he then backpedals (possibly after receiving a "talking-to" from his masters). In fact, watching his show is one of the things that led to my awakening about what's going on in the world.

In my opinion, he's at his best when he's playing with numbers. Like when he shows the figures like debts and unfunded liabilities which, without him actually saying this explicitly, prove to anyone with half a brain that the whole system is going to come crashing down soon.

One of the reasons I think he is sincere is his insistence with his audience that they "read everything you can get your hands on". I've even seen him recommend that his listeners read Communist texts like Das Kapital. When he says it, he often acts like he's just making a cliche statement about having an open mind, but I think what he really might be saying is "look, these guys aren't gonna let me say everything I want to say, so find out for yourself".

People who are into thought control don't tell you to read opposing views. They instead play on your fear of being misled, telling you "these guys are liars", quoting them out of context to "prove" it, and in general doing everything in their power to prevent you from reading opposing views. I've never seen Beck tell his viewers to blindly listen to him and not hear opposing viewpoints.

I highly recommend watching/listening to his show. Just don't become a diehard Beck worshipper. Always, always, think for yourself. If you do this, it doesn't matter how much disinfo you hear, from any source, because you can dissect it and research it and determine if it's true, if it's relevant, if it's disinfo, if it's a diversion, etc.

When you think for yourself, you no longer have to be afraid of what you read or hear. You no longer have to be afraid of lies. Even if you can't prove something you hear to be true or false, you can hold it in your mind temporarily until further information/insight sheds more light on it. This is the path to truth.

Everything you read, see, or hear probably has at least a small grain of truth to it, even if it's surrounded by an agenda of lies. The trick is extracting the grain of truth, and discarding the rest.

No need to fear Glenn Beck.

I really enjoy listening to the facts and stories by Glenn, ACORN was a huge wakeup... he pointed out certain facts about the healthcare that was hidden www.youtube.com...

but the use of the "founding fathers" made me wakeup... George Washington, Ben Franklin, and (the other dude).. Freemasons... hmmmm... too much secrecy for me. is Glenn Beck a Neo-con?????

That is me almost exactly. The only difference is that I refuse to listen to him at all. I can get any info he gives elsewhere.

I am now listening to a man named David Robertson. His show is called an American Warning.

See here's the thing. People like to go after Beck and pretend that his show is a news program and that everything is supposed to be 100% fact.

OH...believe me...we know.

Maybe this comment should be directed to the OP who thinks Beck speaks only the TRUTH.

And this is to anyone who actually thinks Beck is looking out for your best interests: Go buy gold...make Beck rich....suckers.

Why do they have an A+ rating when they suck so much?

I think Goldman Sachs had an A+ rating as well...and that turned out well...right?

He isnt whipping everyone into a panic and telling them to sell everything they own and convert it into gold. He specifically says the gold isnt for everyone bit is right for him. He tells them that they should " Look into it and see if it is right for you " Then he proposes contacting Goldline to see if it is in fact right for you.

I wonder how many people call Goldline and they tell them "Nah....Gold isn't right for you"????

They are in the business of selling gold for a profit...but if you really think he is just looking out for you...be my guest.

Um...Mormons are Christians too genius.

Kinda their name too:
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Um...no they're not. You obvious don't know anything about what Mormons believe, compared to Christianity, or else you wouldn't say such nonsense.

Having "church of Jesus Christ" in your name doesn't make you Christian. Just like the vast majority of those that say they're Christian in America doesn't make them Christian.

Glen Beck gives you facts and figures, then tells you, "Don't take my word for it. Go to source, read, study and make up your own mind."
The problem with most Americans, including the ones on this board, are too lazy to do the research. Or else, they are so closed minded they can't consider anything else besides their own narrow ideas. I'm not saying Beck doesn't make mistakes. He does. We all do. When he makes one and it is pointed out to him, he corrects.
(By the way, he did look into the rumors about FEMA camps. He put his staff to work investigating, then came on the air and told the audience there was no evidence for their existance. And something else. One of the supposed Fema camps is supposed to be a closed AFB about 5 miles from my home. Trust me, it ain't no Fema camp!)
I was taught a great many things about the founding of this country that I have since learned were wrong. When faced with irrefutable facts, I had to change my mind.
Remember the motto of ATS. DENY IGNORANCE!

I was thinking about this just yesterday.

I have to say that I am thankful to Glenn Beck and his program. I listened to him starting a year ago and I learned a lot about the corruption in D.C., Obama, progressive agenda, the founding fathers and of course the constitution.

I have stopped now because my political ideals have evolved and I realized that Glenn Beck is a driving force in a political agenda to distract us and keep Liberals, Democrats, Republican, Conservative, whatever..., fighting eachother and missing the point.

THAT POINT BEING:
THERE IS NO NEED FOR POLITICAL PARTIES, IT DISTRACTS US KEEPS US FROM COMING TOGETHER (WHICH THEY WANT).

THAT IT DOESNT MATTER WHICH POLITICAL PARTY IS IN OFFICE, THEY ARE GONNA ALL DO THE SAME THING BECAUSE THEY AREN'T IN CONTROL.

While I think Glenn Beck does his best to stay honest and to the truth, he still has people telling what he can and can't say.

Peace

Is that all you got? ( mocking tone dripping with sarcasm) Beck is a douche because he recommends buying gold.

He doesn't ONLY speak the truth. Sometimes he's wrong. When he's wrong he admits it. to me that is a man with integrity and deserves to be listened to.

You are so far from right that the light from right would take a million years to reach you.

What an incredibly bigoted statement.

How dare you take good advice from someone who saw this crap storm coming! Your doing nothing more that capitalizing on others misfortunes. your wealth must be seized and redistributed to those who need it more than you do!

All joking aside. Good for you. Its good that you listened to someone who enlightened you as to what season it is.

Take care

Wow, What an incredibly bigoted thread you have there. If that was what you were aiming for then you should be proud...

What did you not like about that thread? Were you offended by Mormon Beliefs?

Do you feel that "Dr" Glenn Beck is not operating as an agent to fulfill Mormon Prophecy?

Thanks for the excellent post. That is an excellent point that I failed to bring up. He constantly tells people that he wants to be wrong about the things he says. He wants his listeners to research what he says and prove him wrong.

He truly tells his listeners to deny ignorange. One of his favorite quotes:

" Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there is one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blindfolded fear."
Thomas Jefferson

I'll summarize your OP there:

Mormons are bad....Glenn Beck is a Mormon...Therefore Glenn Beck is bad too.

Like I said it was a bigoted post with no religious tolerance.

I'm embedding the video SmokeandShadow already posted, it's a good, quick overview of the man for those with open minds.

OP, quit treating this guy like the Savior. (my Mom shares this view too, makes me SICK)...

He's a flawed guy just like the rest of us. He's a documented flip-flopper as well. Heck, I probably would too for the millions he's banking

It's all just entertainment with a script folks. They're all the same.

At least AJ is far more entertaining in my opinion.

And don't get me started on the fake crying. It's a joke.

Nice job on the thread though, guaranteed to polarize
Just be ready for the common sense crowd to show up...
