Federal Land Grab underway - to lock up 13 million acres

I don't have time to watch the video right now, but federal land management is a topic I have had on my list of things to research. A real quick google revealed..

The Federal Government owns nearly 650 million acres of land - almost 30 percent of the land area of the United States.

I had no idea so much land was under federal ownership. I'm not informed enough yet to have an opinion, but 30% is an interesting figure to me and I will be looking in to this topic after class tonight.

I just wonder how much of this is parks, buildings, military ranges (especially Nevada).

Nothing like a map of the U.S filled with red spots to depict what they exactly own along with names for large areas.

WOW.. those red dots were something.. that means the Fed Gov literally own those states. I'm glad my state just has a small little tiny red dot.

One thing the founding fathers forgot to mention... further limiting and balancing federal powers by prohibiting federal ownership of land.
